Elisabeth Shue Says Brother Andrew Shue Is 'Very, Very Happy' amid Romance with Marilee Fiebig

Andrew Shue is enjoying life and his new romance.

The Melrose Place said the actor’s sister Elisabeth Shue Hey! News Aug. 14 that her brother is “doing great” right now as his relationship with Marilee Fiebig continues. – He is very, very happy.

Andrew, 57, began seeing Fiebig in December, nearly a year after both their exes, Amy Robach and TJ Holmes, were removed from the show on GMA3 for their relationship. While Robach, 51, and Holmes, 46, continue to go public with their relationship, Andrew and Fiebig have kept their romance low-key in the nine months since PEOPLE learned they started dating.

Last week, however, the actor gave a rare update on how he’s doing while appearing on Still a place — aka his ex Melrose Place actresses Laura Layton, Courtney Thorne Smith and Daphne Zuniga’s rewatch podcast.

“I’m fine,” Andrew said. “I am very happy. My children are great, and I am working on a project.”

Updates on the couple have been few and far between, though a source told PEOPLE in February that they were still “going strong” two months after news of their relationship broke.

The source noted that Fiebig in particular “seems very happy with him.”

Fiebig and Holmes, who were married for 12 years and have an 11-year-old daughter, Sabine, filed for divorce in December 2022, although they had reportedly been separated since August.

Robach, meanwhile, divorced Shua in March 2023, though they reportedly separated in August 2022 as well.

Despite keeping fans informed about their lives together, Robach and Holmes have never explicitly commented on their exes’ relationship. In the days following the news, Holmes said on their Amy & TJ podcast, “There’s nothing we can do about it [headlines].”

“This place, this podcast, this platform is not and never will be… We are committed to a place that won’t be about gossip, this won’t be a place where we clap back at the headlines,” he continued. . “We’re not going to get into that back-and-forth game because gossip is poisonous.”

In June, former Good morning America the hosts admitted that they both have “shame” associated with their past relationship failures.

“Between the two of us sitting on this stage, there are now four divorces,” Holmes said during a live taping of their podcast in New York. “This is where personal shame comes in. We had very perfect-looking families and perfect lives, and sometimes we were guilty of presenting a picture of our lives that we knew wasn’t true.”
