Elizabeth Banks remains golden at 50 – literally.
Hunger Games the actress shared a video on Instagram on Saturday showing how she celebrated her birthday, wearing a golden cat costume and posing for photos.
The short video began with Banks peeking out from the gold bands and asking, “Who wants to see my birthday suit?” before dramatically ditching the ribbons to reveal her outfit – a head-to-toe metallic gold bodysuit.
The actress pretended to strike a few sultry poses on set, but it (on purpose) didn’t come across that way as she was also seen making hilarious faces and looking uncomfortable. In one shot, she even tried to pose with her leg up in front of her house while wearing tufted slippers.

She also showed her flexibility, performing a high jump with her legs almost a step apart. The video hilariously zoomed in on her awkward face during the jump.
Although her flexibility didn’t seem to help as much when getting into the cat suit. In another set of shots, she could be seen struggling to get her clothes on. She laughed as she tried to poke her head through the opening of what she called the “original sword suit”.
In another scene, she asked, “Do we think this is a good idea?” as she struggled to pull on what appeared to be a gold bodysuit cap before finally giving in, “Alright, we have to take it off.”

Elizabeth Banks says she believes aging is a privilege: ‘You want to grow old, trust me’
“Birthday suit ⭐️ #50,” she captioned the photos. She added that she was “inspired by the best to ever do it,” though she did not reveal the person’s name.
Several of her famous friends hilariously offered speculation in the comments, including comedian Jimmy O. Yang, who wrote that her inspiration could be “Gold member or Goldfinger, maybe Golden Hawn 🙌.”
Others wished her a happy golden birthday, including actress Julianne Moore, who wrote: “Happy Birthday Queen!!! You are golden ⭐️.” Katie Couric commented: “Happy birthday hot stuff 🔥❤️.”

Last year, Banks told PEOPLE that she’s embracing aging and shared that her new philosophy is to “age gracefully, whatever that means to you.”
“I’m trying to age gracefully, but I also want to make sure I’m doing the best I can stay convinced of aging,” she explained. “My mental health is the most important thing when it comes to beauty. That’s what I love about these products — they’re right for me, but I’m also taking care of myself and not overthinking.”
