Elizabeth Hurley says she talks to ex Hugh Grant ‘quite a lot’: ‘I still go to him for advice’

In November 2022, Hurley spoke with PEOPLE exclusively about the idea of finding love later in life, amid the release of her romantic comedy Christmas in the Caribbean.

“We really hope there are a lot of people who identify with my character in this, which is not your classic mid-20s [woman] he’s looking for his first true love where he’ll get married and have kids and walk off into the sunset,” she said.

Hurley noted that while “those films are absolutely charming,” Christmas in the Caribbean “isn’t that right, because this is someone who’s been through life and it hasn’t worked out for her and she’s really worried that she won’t find her missing piece of the puzzle.”

“So I think it gives hope and heart to people who are a little more mature but still want a happy ending,” the actress and model added. “They still want happily ever after.”
