In March 2023, Elvish Yadav became a trending topic on social media after a video of two men stealing flower pots arranged for the G20 meeting went viral. Some claimed that the vehicle used in the theft belonged to Elvish Yadav; however, Elvish Yadav has denied these accusations and stated that he intends to take legal action against those who make such accusations. The allegations emerged when social media users discovered that a vehicle with the same license plate number was used at one of Elvish Yadav’s events. Elvish Yadav clarifies that Manmohan Yadav, who was arrested for stealing flowers, is not a member of his family.

Rave parties and snake venom
Elvish found himself embroiled in controversy when the Uttar Pradesh police registered an FIR against Elvish and many others on November 3, 2023. Five men were arrested in Noida for allegedly supplying snakes and their venom at a rave party, police officials said. It was allegedly organized by Elvish Yadav. Police officials revealed in interviews that the gatherings were held at various farmhouses in Delhi and nearby areas. Additionally, the officials mentioned that the five men claimed that Elvish Yadav was involved and mentioned that he had used snakes to create content on YouTube and Instagram. Later, politician and animal activist Maneka Gandhi also made this claim in an interview. She mentioned that her NGO has been monitoring Elvish Yadav since he used a snake in the video. She went on to claim that she and her team set up a trap to uncover Elvish’s inappropriate behavior. She further added that he was absconding after the Uttar Pradesh police registered a case against him.

However, Elvish Yadav later responded to the incident on social media and refuted the claims of supplying snakes and their venom and organizing rave parties. He further stated that he would take responsibility if it could be proven that he had even a small connection to the case.

The Noida police arrested him on March 17, 2024, after which he confessed to supplying snakes and snake venom at a rave party organized by him. On March 22, 2024, he was released on bail in the snake venom case. On July 10, 2024, he was summoned by Education Bureau officials and asked to investigate the snake venom case. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) issued notices and seized his properties in September 2024 for using rare animals in music videos and offering snakes as venom at parties. The property is worth Rs. 5.249 million.

In March 2024, Elvish sparked a controversy when a video went viral in which he punched YouTuber Sagar Thakur, aka Maxtern, who had allegedly been mocking Elvish on social media for months. On March 8, 2024, under Sections 147 (rioting), 149 (unlawful assembly), 323 (causing hurt) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of IPC in Gurugram, Haryana Elvish and others were booked at the Sector 53 police station.

The incident allegedly occurred when Sagar threatened Elvish and his family. While Sagar claimed he was alone in the incident, Elvish claimed Sagar was present with four others. Elvish further claimed that the video was pre-planned by Sagar as he had cameras and microphones installed at the scene. He added that the people he was with urged them not to fight, which was captured in the viral video.
