Emilia Clarke Suffered From Brain Aneurysms While Shooting Game Of Thrones

On BBC One’s Sunday Morning program on July 17, the 35-year-old celebrity explained how surprised she was to be able to live with impunity.

“Given how much of my brain is no longer usable, it’s amazing that I can speak, sometimes articulately, and live my life completely regularly without any consequences.” “I’m in a very, very, very small minority of individuals who can pull it off.”

Clarke previously spoke about how she had two brain aneurysm procedures in 2011 and 2013.

What is an aneurysm and how did Emilia Clarke get it?

According to the Mayo Clinic, a brain aneurysm is a bulge or bulge in the brain’s blood arteries. This is caused by damaged blood vessel walls and often looks like a “berry hanging on a stalk”. According to the website, an aneurysm can rupture or leak, causing bleeding between the brain and the tissue that covers it. This quickly becomes life-threatening and requires medical intervention.

Clarke mentioned her brain scan during a health update, saying:

“A lot is missing!” Which makes me laugh every time. Because a stroke happens when any part of your brain doesn’t get blood for even a second. As a result, the blood takes an alternative route, but the part that is absent is lost.”

Emilia Clarke struggled with aphasia, a disease that reduces a person’s ability to speak and communicate, after suffering an aneurysm. She also described how intense it was, saying at one point she couldn’t remember her own name. The Me Before You actress also spoke about regularly throwing up and feeling “excruciating agony” as a result of the aneurysm, but claimed Game of Thrones helped her get through it.

“It was very beneficial that Game of Thrones swept me and gave me that purpose.”

Emilia Clarke took to Instagram in 2019 to post photos from the hospital after surgery for her illness. The Above Doubt actress admitted to CBS Sunday Morning that the first time she had surgery was challenging, and the second time it was harder for me to be cheerful. Clarke previously claimed she couldn’t see herself in the mirror because her face was bloated from medication, according to a Complex news source. She allegedly stated:

“I didn’t want to look at myself after the operation. Due to my stay in the hospital, I retained a lot of water, and one part of my face was quite swollen.”

The actress further said:

“I was pretty ugly. What I see now is that there is anxiety behind my eyes. And nothing can compensate for that.”

Emilia Clarke founded the charity SameYou in 2019 with the aim of raising money to provide easy access to neurorehabilitation after stroke or brain damage.
