She came to Los Angeles at the age of 18 to devote herself to her passion. Within a month of moving to Los Angeles, she landed her first job as Tess Harding on the television series Rowswell. She was then cast as Claire Littleton in the blockbuster program Lost from Season 5 to Season 7, except for Season 5 in which she did not appear. Emile was then cast as Emily Kostich, the ex-girlfriend of heroin user Brendan Frye, in 2005. She was cast as Brenda Carter in the remake of The Hills Have Eyes a year later.
