Eminem’s social media post was in response to the Lions’ tough loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday

There’s no doubt that Eminem is a loyal fan of the Detroit Lions — and he’s ready for their return next season after losing the NFC Championship game to the San Francisco 49ers.

After Sunday’s heavy defeat, Eminem, 51, was still hopeful and hilariously revealed that his diss track for coach Ben Johnson will not see the light of day after a great season.

“I guess I should stop recording this diss song..!! Lol!!,” Eminem wrote on X (formerly Twitter) Johnson, after rumors surfaced that he had turned down head coaching offers in Seattle and Washington.

The “Mockingbird” rapper added, “@ Ben Johnson thank you for sticking around!!! We can’t break this team ESPECIALLY because I’m on it!!! Coach Campbell we love you bro!!! Let’s do it again next year !!…I’M READY!!!! I promise you I’ll take us to the Super Bowl!!!”

The meeting between the Lions, led by quarterback Jared Goff, and the 49ers came down to the final moments of the game at Levi’s Stadium in San Francisco. The Lions initially appeared to have the win, but the 49ers came back in the second half with 27 unanswered points, making it 34-24 with just over two minutes left.

A week before the rapper attended the NFC Championship, Eminem jokingly called out Lions head coach Dan Campbell and asked him to include him in the game.

“Yo, Dan, I’m on the phone. I’ll be on the phone. Third trimester,” the rapper said in a video shared on Instagram. “I’m reporting, offensive line, right receiver. I’ll be a running back, the whole line, [the] offensive line. And the receiver, I’m going to throw it to myself and score a touchdown. In the third quarter. Just give me the uniform. Or at least just a helmet.”

He added, “I’m going to be there that night, I’m going to get dressed and I’m going to score the game-winning touchdown for us.”
