EMMERDALE star Emile John has confirmed he has left the show after three years – and his final scenes have already aired.
The actor – who played Ethan Anderson in the ITV soap – quit the soap last night when viewers watched Ethan suffer from shock.

His death was not seen on screen leading to hope that this may have all been a plan for Ethan to avoid his impending prison sentence.
However, Emile confirmed that Ethan’s death was real and that he had left the soap.
“After three years, Ethan’s journey on Emmerdale has come to an end,” he wrote in an emotional post on Instagram.
“I feel extremely privileged to have entered this industry working on such an iconic show.
“I honestly had a lot of fun! Sharing space with such talented people on and off screen for the past few years has been a great honor and an experience that will stay with me forever.
“A big thank you to those of you who invested in any of my stories during my time on the show, seeing your reactions and opening up important conversations made it all the more worthwhile!
“With love, Ethan out.”
Fans flocked to share their thoughts on his post.
One wrote: “You were absolutely amazing as Ethan and I will definitely miss watching him every night! All the best in your next endeavor.”

Over the weekend, Emile hinted that he was leaving the show during a Q&A on Instagram.
At the Q&A, a fan told him: “I’m praying that Ethan doesn’t leave the village. Favorite character and story.”
Another fan said: “Can’t wait to see what film she’s in after Emmerdale”.
He replied: “Me too bruh.” Me too.”
