Sven’s former long-term lover Nancy Dell’Olio, who reconciled with him after his fatal diagnosis, was filmed wiping her eyes in tears.
She and Beckham – who captained the Three Lions when Sven was in charge from 2001 to 2006 – shared a hug upon arriving at the church.
Close friend Bengt Berg told the crowd: “You were both very ordinary and very unique – that’s why you were so loved.”
Liverpool FC anthem You’ll Never Walk Alone and Jungle Book song Bare Necessities were played by a local brass band as mourners lined the streets after the service.
Funeral guests gathered in the nearby outdoor hall at the Kollsberg Farm Museum for “moments of joy” with music and poetry celebrating Sven’s life.
Beckham and Dell’Olio were among those seen touching the coffin there.
On August 26, Sven succumbed to pancreatic cancer.

Nancy appeared on Good Morning Britain just two weeks ago, where she revealed her last conversation with Sven.
She said: “I just said he tried to say he was fine on the phone because most of the time he didn’t answer or he was in treatment.
“I never thought he would die.
“I always believed that a miracle would happen.
“I’m sorry.”

Eriksson’s last dream
“You’ll Never Walk Alone” was performed by a brass band as mourners followed the casket in procession.
The song was a particularly poignant choice for Eriksson, a long-time Liverpool fan.
In March, Sven fulfilled his dream of managing an Anfield club, coaching a team of Liverpool legends including Steven Gerrard, John Barnes and Ian Rush.
That game would mark the last chapter of Sven’s legendary coaching career.

Close friend Bengt Berg told the crowd: “He remained Svennis from Torsby from a small town on the edge of the Swedish map.”
Bengt added of his friend: “You were both very ordinary and very unique – that’s why you were so loved.”
And he urged the mourners to follow the mantra of the man who throughout Sweden is simply called “Svennis”: “Live in your heart now and enjoy every day as if it were your last.”

Sven’s white hearse drove up to the nearby community hall followed by hundreds of mourners as locals lined the streets.
One of the first times a local brass band played as the 700m column set off was his beloved Liverpool anthem You’ll Never Walk Alone.
But – at the football boss’ request – cheerier tunes brightened the gray autumn day, including Jungle Book favorite ‘Bare Necessities’.
