Enrique Iglesias’ 3 Kids: All About Lucy, Nicholas and Mary

Enrique Iglesias and Anna Kournikova have kept their decades-long relationship out of the spotlight, including their three children.

The couple welcomed twins, Lucy and Nicholas, in December 2017, and welcomed daughter Mary in January 2020. Since becoming parents, Iglesias and Kournikova have continued their low-key lifestyles, but occasionally share snapshots of their family on social media.

In 2011, 10 years after she met the Spanish singer on the set of his music video, Kournikova told Women’s health that she saw motherhood in her future.

“I absolutely want to have children, whether I have my own or adopt,” said the former tennis pro. “I like taking care of people.”

In a 2007 interview with PEOPLE en Español, Iglesias said, “The only thing I can say is that, in my opinion, Anna, whether we were together or not, would be the ideal mother.”

The arrival of twins Iglesias and Kournikova in 2017 was surprising because the couple kept the pregnancy a secret from the public. Four months after giving birth, Kournikova shared her first baby photo on Instagram with the caption “#tbt #37weeks.”

“I saw her sweet baby bump,” a source told PEOPLE after it was announced that Iglesias and Kournikova were expecting twins. “A friend told me five months ago [that] they were pregnant, but they kept it very, very secret.”

Kournikova’s pregnancy with the couple’s third child, Mary, was also kept under wraps, with both parents announcing her birth a few weeks later via hospital photos posted on Instagram.

A few months after welcoming his first children, twins, Iglesias opened up about fatherhood on stage at a concert in Budapest. “I became a father 12 weeks ago and I can absolutely tell you two things: I love my babies! I love them very much – said the pop star.

Iglesias and Kournikova welcomed Lucy on December 16, 2017 in Miami along with her twin brother Nicholas. Iglesias and Kournikova shared the first photos of their babies on Instagram the following year, showing the twins in gray overalls and snuggled up next to their parents.

“My sunshine,” Iglesias captioned his photo, and later shared an adorable video of himself kissing one of the babies.

In September 2019, the singer released a video of him and then-21-month-old Lucy dancing to the song “The Wheels on the Bus,” while Kournikova sings in the background. Father and daughter performed dance moves together and, at one point, Iglesias swung Lucy’s arms as she smiled.

A few months earlier, Iglesias had put fans on the side of his stupid father. Along with a video of the star making silly moves while his twins giggle, he jokingly wrote: “Three kids in this video.”

Nicholas was born to Iglesias and Kournikova on December 16, 2017 in Miami along with his twin sister Lucy.

In April 2019, Iglesias shared a video of himself and Nicholas having a “serious conversation,” in which the toddler walks around their house trying to imitate his father’s sounds.

A few months later, the singer posted a video of 18-month-old Nicholas enjoying a boat ride. In the video, Nicholas was wearing a wide-brimmed straw hat and Cars T-shirt and looked out the window exclaiming: “Wawa!” while pointing to the water.

In an interview with December 2023 TodayIglesias revealed that although his children have yet to attend one of his concerts, Nicholas is beginning to understand his star power.

“My son, when he saw me at the rehearsal, he was like: ‘What?!’ Because he’s seen a lot of music videos and videos of me performing on stage, but to be able to see it in person, the production and the lights, it’s like, ‘Oh my God,'” Iglesias said. “He was like watching an alien or a UFO, in a good way. He was amazed.”

Iglesias and Kournikova welcomed their third child, daughter Mary, on January 30, 2020. The couple announced the birth by sharing hospital pictures on Instagram with the appropriate caption: “My Sunshine”.

Five weeks after her birth, Iglesias revealed the name of his newborn daughter: Mary, or Masha in Russian, as her mother speaks.

Iglesias told PEOPLE that the transition of his twins Lucy and Nicholas, then 2, into the role of older siblings was “very smooth.”

“They actually love it,” he said. “There is a two-year difference, so I was a little afraid. I thought, ‘How will he react?’ And I have two dogs so my house is chaotic. When we first came home with Masha, I thought, ‘Oh, how will everyone react?’ ”

Iglesias shared clips of his sweet relationship with Mary on social media, including an adorable snap of him dancing with the then-2-month-old and another of the then-19-month-old smiling and bouncing along to the singer’s latest album.

Kournikova might want Mary to inherit her tennis prowess along with her father’s musical talent. In September 2020, Kournikova published a photo of her youngest daughter in a tennis outfit. In the caption, she wrote: “Wimbledon, here I come… 😍.”

Speaking with Today in December 2023, Iglesias revealed that Mary had become a fan of his songs.

“Whenever I pick her up at school, I pick them all up, and she’s always the one who starts singing ‘I Like It’ a lot of times,” Iglesias said. “And then they all start singing it together. It’s the sweetest thing ever. It’s her favorite song.”
