In the latest episode Ben and Ashley I. The Almost Famous PodcastKathy, 70, revealed she almost wore the same dress as Gerry Turner’s fiancee Theresa Nist – who she memorably told to “buckle up” during an argument – in the finale of the ABC live dating show.
“I went shopping for a dress tonight,” she told host Ashley Iaconetti, referring to the special. “You won’t believe this.”
Susan chimed in: “She sent me pictures, everything. I can prove that to be true.”

“The dress was the dress Theresa had on tonight,” Kathy added, referring to Theresa’s long-sleeved white mini dress. “Can you imagine if I showed up in that dress? [People would have said] she stalked her”.
When asked how she found out she was going to be Theresa’s twin on her big night, Kathy said: “Nobody told me. I decided not to wear it because I thought, you know, he’s probably going to get engaged. It’s like white [and] wedding.”
“You weren’t thinking of her. You liked the second one better. Tell the truth,” explained Susan. “It had nothing to do with Theresa, we had no idea.”
Kathy realized she had avoided an awkward moment when Theresa took the stage. “I’m like, ‘Oh my God. She has my dress,'” she recalled. “And I thought, can you imagine Bachelor Nation saying, ‘Not only did she tell her to zip up, but she went out and bought her own dress.'”

Later in the episode, Susan revealed her unique morning ritual during filming The Golden Bachelor, saying, “I’m first in the morning, skinny, I drive girls crazy.”
“Trust me,” Kathy added. “I saw everything, every square centimeter, and she literally dived into that pool skinny every morning.”
Susan recalled seeing the shocked reaction on “these ladies’ faces,” adding: “Not everyone was awake, but we’re out for coffee, and I go to the edge of the pool, slide it off and . . .”
Kathy interjected, “Put it in.”

Susan said the ladies wanted to make sure she knew the producers might be filming and recalled, “They’d say, ‘Susan, there’s cameras.’ I say, ‘There’s nobody’.”
“Also, they won’t be able to broadcast it, but they might black box you,” Ashley added.
“Oh, whatever. Who wants to see a 66-year-old?” Susan concluded.

The Golden Bachelor can be streamed on Hulu and Golden wedding will air on January 4, 2024 on ABC.
