Gwyneth Paltrow Wears Vibrant Yellow Gown at 2023 Red Sea International Film Festival

Gwyneth Paltrow shines on the red carpet.

On Thursday night, the 51-year-old Oscar winner attended the closing ceremony of the 2023 Red Sea International Film Festival in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Paltrow wore a vibrant yellow sarong dress that included ruffled puff sleeves, which had a pleated effect that gathered in a huge belted bow at her waist. The dress had a modest boat neck and a thigh-high slit in the middle of the dress. The bright dress is from the Carolina Herrera Resort 2024 collection.

Paltrow completed the look with a pair of yellow open-toe platform heels and a pair of diamond and gold earrings and a few dainty rings. She styled her blonde hair in a slicked back bun; the makeup was just as vibrant as the dress, and she wore peach lip gloss and light mauve eye shadow.

During a discussion at the festival, the actress shared with “In Conversation” host Jomana Al-Rashid that her mother, Blythe Danner, played an important role in how she experienced acting early on.

“My mother is an actress. She was mainly engaged in theater. And so I grew up as a little girl watching her rehearsals and running around the theater,” Paltrow said Diversity.

“My mother would even say that she always felt a little insecure,” she added. “When she was on stage, she was the most powerful, integrated force of nature I had ever seen. And that’s what I wanted to be.”

The Slide door the actress was joined by several other Hollywood celebrities at the Red Sea International Film Festival, including Halle Berry, on the red carpet on Thursday night. Zoe Saldaña, Naomi Campbell, Diane Kruger, Freida Pinto, Sofia Vergara and Michelle Williams were spotted at the festival, along with Johnny Depp and Will Smith.

On the eve of Paltrow’s arrival in Saudi Arabia, Emma the actress attended the Fashion Awards 2023 at the Royal Albert Hall in London on Monday. There she was dressed in an all red vintage Valentino outfit.

Paltrow wore a strapless, empire-waist dress from the designer’s Fall/Winter 1965 couture collection, according to British Vogue. The dress had a plunging neckline with a thigh-high slit.

The look is completed with a long, dramatic Valentino cape and a pair of matching heels, two bracelets on her arm and a pair of dangling earrings.

The Goop founder shared snaps on her Instagram Story, including a selfie in a full-size mirror and a shot of her Van Cleef & Arpels bracelet. The Se7en the actress also posted a black-and-white selfie with Valentino co-founder Giancarlo Giammetti.
