Erin Napier has always loved her husband Ben Napier!
As home town TV presenter, 38, and her beau, 40, are celebrating their 19th wedding anniversary, Erin revealed to fans how much she liked her spouse long before the pair were even an item.
“I dated him because he looked a bit like Ben Napier, the guy I had a crush on,” Erin said of a college sweetheart named Charlie.
The recognition came from an adorable Instagram post she shared on Friday that is rooted in tradition.
Every year, the couple celebrates their wedding anniversary with “Love Week” — a time when they show their appreciation for each other with heartfelt tributes on social media.
On Friday’s broadcast, Erin began her Instagram carousel with a photo of herself holding a typed love letter from her HGTV co-star’s husband. In the message, Ben admitted that he “knew by December 8” that Erin was the one when he skipped a trip to New Orleans with his friends because “Sonic cheese sticks and talking in your Beetle sounded better.”

Erin stated that before they started dating, Ben was getting so much attention from “all the different cheerleaders and girls on the dance team” that “she felt like I was living in She is all that and he was kind to me on the bet.”

Luckily, the art student didn’t get stuck in the 1999 rom-com and soon realized that “Big Ben” was serious about getting to know her better.
She recalled how she was surprised that “he, somehow, knew my full name,” and invited her to eat with him in the student union.
Continuing her story, she said that on December 8, 2004, she and Ben met so that she could take pictures of his yearbook. Although he “looked like Robert Goulet on SNL”, she was thrilled at the thought of spending time with the great man on campus.

“At one point when we were alone, while I was interviewing him, he leaned closer to me – he smelled so good and I noticed how straight his teeth were,” Erin wrote, adding that her “heart skipped a beat” when it seemed she leaned in for the kiss she was avoiding. She explained her reasons, saying: “Obviously I denied it, because you can’t fall in love and kiss someone 12 hours after meeting them, can you?”

“This is my favorite week on social media,” a fan commented on the post. Another said the couple – who have daughters Mae, 2, and Helen, 5 – had a love story “worthy of a Hallmark adaptation ❤️.”
