Escape to Chateau Angel and Dick Strawbridge stars left fans in tears on Tuesday after sharing the news from The Château de la Motte-Husson. Taking to Instagram, the couple – who just ended their partnership with Channel 4 – posted an emotional video of their latest meet and greet with fans.

After discovering that one of their guests at the event was engaged to his girlfriend, Angel and Dick treated their Instagram followers to a romantic proposal. In the video, the fan – Ben – can be seen kneeling and proposing to his partner Jen in front of the Neo-Renaissance castle. Angel and Dick then congratulated the couple, they couldn’t be happier.
Capturing the video warmly, the Strawbridges wrote: “Lovely moment at The Chateau last week! Congratulations to Ben and Jen on their engagement. #repost @ourescapetowales.”

It sparked a backlash from fans, many of whom were moved to tears after watching the sweet video. “I don’t cry… you cry!” one person answered. “Oh awesome, my eyes are watering…congratulations,” another added. Meanwhile, a third commented: “Heart. Melted”.

Some were also quick to ask when Angel and Dick would return to their TV screens. However, instead of the conflicting pair with Channel 4, this remains unclear.
Back in May, the broadcaster officially ended its cooperation with TV stars. Based on Duration, the decision was made after an independent investigation into the couple’s behavior on the show. Reportedly, the initial concerns were raised by Two Rivers Media – the production company behind it Escape to the Castle Franchising.

It has also been reported that the pair had been at odds with the producers, with an independent human resources specialist conducting an investigation that included interviews with the producers and crew members.
In an official statement, a Channel 4 spokesperson said: “Following our review, we have made the decision not to work with Dick and Angela on any future new productions.” Two Rivers quickly followed suit, posting: “We can confirm that we will no longer be working with Dick and Angela and are unable to comment at this time.”

Ahead of the news, Angel and Dick filmed a new series called Escape to the Chateau: Secret France with Channel 4. The series consists of four four-hour episodes and follows the Strawbridge family as they explore a different side of the world. France as you delve into the fascinating historical countries. Channel 4 has yet to reveal whether the series will air as planned. While an official release date has never been confirmed, the spinoff is said to be out sometime this year.
Meanwhile, Angel and Dick have revealed plans for a UK tour next year. Earlier this month, the couple announced the news on their Instagram account, explaining, “It’s been almost a year of planning and we can’t wait to tell you we’re kicking off a theatrical tour. Biggest ever!
“Bringing our family on the road was a complete honor and joy. Our first theatrical tour of 2020; Dare To Do It, a total unknown. What a humbling, no not only for the number of you guys who came to see us, but also for the stories you told us when we had the chance to hug each other afterwards!
“The new tour explores why and how we dared to do this, diving into our classic myth-breaking segment and clickbait (our all-time favorite, because we I could set a record in no time!) It’s going to be an evening of fun and exciting interactive games, especially now that we can get you back on stage!!”
