Eva Mendes isn’t afraid to share her insecurities.
Known for her witty and likeable online presence, the actress, 49, shared a cute Instagram carousel showing off her ‘fit’ last week and, in the caption, highlighted a niche but approachable insecurity.
Swapping her typically witty captions for humerous bones – get it? — Mendes simply wrote, “I hate my elbows.”

In the comments section, A place behind the pines The actress’ followers offered mixed responses, writing things like, “elbows are absolutely ridiculous” and “is there such a thing as a nice elbow?”
One person commented, “And my knees 😂,” prompting Mendes — the queen of Instagram replies — to say, “Oh, don’t make me kneel 😂.”
“That’s my next post ♥️,” she joked.
Some fans responded to other aspects of the post, such as Mendes’ Gucci bag, which was rated “Love the bag! ❤️” by Salma Hayek.
Still others left comments assuring her there was no reason to be insecure, writing: “Who looks at your elbows with a face like that?” and “I don’t look at her elbows, I don’t see anything wrong 😂.”

And despite Mendes calling attention to them in her caption, her elbows were hardly the star of the post.
The actress looked absolutely stunning in a geometric print summer ETRO ensemble which she paired with a green Gucci shoulder bag with gold details.
Her auburn hair complemented the monochromatic outfit perfectly, as did her glamourous, fresh-faced look and gold jewellery.

Perhaps the most relatable part of Mendes’ online persona is her love for Ryan Gosling — who is both her online “man.”
Recently, the actress took to Instagram to praise her partner of over a decade Barbie Oscar nomination.
On Wednesday, alongside screenshots of newspaper articles questioning Gosling’s ability to play Ken when the film is first released in June 2022, she wrote: “So proud of my man. So much hate when he took this role. So many people trying him shame on him for doing it.”
“Despite all the #Notmyken mockery and articles written about him, he created this completely original, hilarious, heartbreaking, now iconic character and took it all the way to the Oscars,” she wrote, adding, “I’m so beyond proud to be Ken’s Barbie 💕 .”
