Agilieth claims to be the brother of Negral, who gave John Constantine demonic blood. He is torn apart by Negral’s daughter, Rosa Canis, for disobeying her orders to leave Constantine alone as part of her own plan for Warlock.
Chas and Renee Chandler
While John Constantine is not on Netflix sand Man, his best friend and driver had a thank you note in the series. When Johanna comes into conflict with her ex-girlfriend Rachel, taxi driver Chas Chandler and his wife Renee are mentioned, and Rachel lists some of Johanna’s friends she’s been trying to call to find out why Johanna seems to be playing tricks on her. It’s funny, since the Renee Chandler in the comics completely disapproves of John Constantine, and would probably smack anyone who suggested he was her friend. Maybe in the Netflix world, everything between Renee and Johanna is different Sand Man.
Oliver, Sarah and Kit Ryan
Rachel went on to list some of Johanna’s former lovers that she had tried to call in the hope that they would know how to contact her. Assuming Johanna Constantine and John Constantine have similar love interests, the names on the list refer to some of John’s former lovers in the comics. Sarah is the woman John briefly dated at the beginning of the “A Rake at Hell’s Gate” storyline. There is also a mention of a man named Oliver, who is John in Constantine: Blazers of Hell series.
Rachel also mentioned a man named Kit Ryan, a name with special meaning to John Constantine fans. Kit was John’s girlfriend for most of Garth Ennis’ life hell pioneer and is considered by many to be the lost love of his life. This is especially notable because John didn’t start dating Kit Ryan until after the incident sand Mansuggests that Johanna Constantine’s background is so different from John Constantine’s that she may have ruined her love life faster than he did.
