In April 2022, the East Bay Hardware store in Charleston, South Carolina shared an image to highlight the gas and battery powered products that were available.
“We also have hidden Emma,” read the tweet, which gave no indication of where she was hiding.
The same image was later downloaded by the X account. There is no cat in this picture.
That tweet garnered over 60,000 likes as users raved about the search for Emma.
“Took me too long to spot,” said one user, while another called the image hilarious.
Another person smiled after finding a “Purrty kitty” who can be surprisingly hard to spot.
“He’s a chainsaw expert,” said another user.
It took me a few minutes, but there it is, someone else wrote it.
If you haven’t found Emma yet, look at the lower right part of the picture.
You can see her peeking out from behind the back row of chainsaws.
“I love it! Does Emma prefer gas or CATtery?” one person replied to the tweet.
The owners replied, “She’s prone to petroleum products, of course.”
The store owners have two permanent employees, their cats, Emma and Max.
Merissa Ellis, whose mother owns the store, regularly finds cats hiding in corners of the store and shares the photos on her X page @eastbayhardware.
