Everyone sees a red box – but you have a high IQ if you can figure out what’s really going on in under 15 seconds

IF you can figure out what’s going on in this optical illusion in less than 15 seconds, you might have a high IQ.

At first it appears as if the person is holding a solid, 3D red box, but it is soon revealed that the shape is actually flat.

The illusion was created by Olivier and Chloe Redon and is known as “Oh La La Box”, which won the 2021 Illusion of the Year competition.

At first it’s easy to see the bright red box, but as the clip continues, you’ll see that the box isn’t there at all.

Can you figure out how it works before we reveal the answer?

You will soon find out that the illusion is very deceptive and uses reversed perspective to play tricks on the eyes.

The box is actually just two pieces of cardboard carefully placed on top of each other and folded.

But when viewed from a distance, the cardboard looks like a 3D box because of the way our brain processes images and spatial awareness.

This is called “reverse perspective” and is a trick used in many optical illusions.

The company Neural Correlate, which awarded the illusion, is investigating how these brain games play us.

The video’s description explains the science behind the illusion: “The two parts of the box (front and back) visually come together to create what looks like a normal regular box.

“When both parts of the (reversed (also known as reverse) perspective) “Oh La La Box” are properly arranged and viewed from the correct location, the box is complete.”
