Holly Willoughby is still on hiatus following recent shocking revelations about Phillip Schofield’s affair with an actor on This Morning. The TV personality, who co-hosts the show and Dancing on Ice with Phillip, has made statements about the situation – find out what she has to say about the series so far…
After it was reported that Holly and Phillip had been at odds behind the scenes of ITV’s Breakfast, Phillip released a statement saying it had been “a rough couple of weeks” for both of them. Holly did not respond surprisingly, with insiders claiming that she was “blinded” by her colleague’s comments.

After Phillip left the show a few days later, Holly released a short statement that read: “Hi everyone… It’s been over 13 wonderful years recommending This Morning with Phil and I’d like to take the opportunity. this to thank him for all his knowledge, his experience and his humour. The sofa wouldn’t feel the same without it.”

She released another statement after Phillip admitted he was in a “consensual relationship with a younger male co-worker”, writing: “It took time to process yesterday’s news. As the When this report first came out, I asked Phil directly if it was true and I was told it wasn’t. It was painful to find out it was a lie Holly. “

The statement read: “Although I met that man when he was a teenager and was offered to help him get into television, it wasn’t until he started working on the show. Only then will it become a friendship. This relationship is unwise, but not illegal. Now it’s over.”

He continued: “In an attempt to protect my former colleague, I have been dishonest about this relationship. But my recent departure from This Morning, unrelated, has sparked speculation and raises questions that affect him so, for his sake, it is important that I be honest now.I am painfully aware that I have lied to my employers at ITV , my colleagues and friends, my agent, the media and therefore the public and most importantly my family I am very, very sorry, as am I, for being unfaithful to my wife .”

Holly has remained silent since then after numerous on-screen figures, including Dr Ranj Singh and Eamonn Holmes, made statements about toxic working conditions on This Morning. However, Phillip released a statement saying: “I no longer work on @thismorning, I have every right to say this. I hope you notice that there are a handful of people who are upset with me or the show and seem to have the loudest voices.”

The 61-year-old added: “This Morning IS is the best show to make, with the best people. In all years there is no toxicity in the world. You can listen to those constant loud voices if you want. But thousands of guests throughout the year, thousands of employees and crew, hundreds of managers and associates know this is a family of wonderful, talented, kind, and hardworking people.”
