Season 5 Love is blind couples aren’t the only thing fans are talking about in the latest installment of Netflix’s ongoing social experiment! With the final episodes of the show behind us, there are rumors of a beautiful place where the couples walked down the aisle.
This season, Love is blind hosted their weddings at the Pattison House in Texas. While speaking with PEOPLE, owner Trena Anderson shares what it was like to work with Love is blind actors and crew.
“We had a wonderful experience working with Love is blind team to create some beautiful spaces for the show,” says Anderson. “I’m not sure how the producers found us, but we received an email from the show’s producer wanting to set up an appointment to view the venue. About 12 different people from the show came and toured our venue as well as other venues in the Houston area.”
“As a small, family-owned venue, we were honored to finally be selected. Houston has a number of very beautiful venues to choose from, and we saw it as a great compliment that the team recognized the flexibility and beauty of our space,” she says.
“Although we had to use some rooms in atypical ways to accommodate the film crew, we were delighted to see that our space was flexible and adapted to their needs,” she continues. “For example, Love is blind used our actual chapel as a media room where the producers, film crew, speakers, etc. had all their equipment and monitored filming.”

For Anderson, the highlight of working with the reality TV show team was helping to curate floral arrangements for couples’ wedding days. He says that they harvested more than 1,200 hydrangeas and dozens and dozens of roses with water.
“The stage arrangements were huge — over 6 feet tall! It took us about 17 hours to create the stage arrangements and decor for that ceremony scene,” says the owner. “Other florists who helped with the weddings included Lizzie Bee Florist in Richardson, Texas. She did Milton and Lydia’s wedding based on the inspiration pictures Lydia provided us with.”
Being able to feature the Pattison home on television was a dream come true for Anderson, who gave PEOPLE more details about the location.

Historic site located in Pattison, Texas
Pattison House is located in the heart of Pattison. Anderson says she and her husband, Danny, bought the property in 2016. They spent two years renovating it before officially opening in 2018.
“The house is listed in the Waller County Historic Homes Book that was published in 1976. It gives the history of the house, original construction costs, etc. The house is listed as the ‘Guy T. Pattison Home,’ hence the name we gave when we opened the place,” Anderson reveals.
“The bride’s house is an original restored home from 1917. There is also a restored barn that was built that same year, as well as many large live oak trees that were planted that same year or shortly after,” she says, explaining that because it’s about a 40-minute drive from downtown Houston, the location “offers the peace of the countryside away from the hustle and bustle of the city.”
She adds: “It’s the ideal place for families to get away and make memories together.”

House Pattison is all inclusive
The nice thing about the Pattison house, Anderson says, is that you don’t have to think about anything. From decoration to photography, everything is included.
“My goal is and always has been to help families create beautiful memories by taking the stress out of the wedding planning experience. That’s why we’re an all-in-one venue and partner with some of the best vendors in the business. We eliminate the need to coordinate schedules and connect with contacts for couples,” he continues. she.
“When couples decide to get married at the Pattison House, not only do they get a venue, but they no longer have to worry about finding and coordinating vendors for catering, wedding cakes, flowers, etc.,” she says. “We provide them with excellent suppliers who have a history of exceeding our clients’ expectations at our site and an established working relationship with us.”
The venue offers a room full of different styles of decor for couples to choose from for their wedding.
“Not having to buy or rent these things saves the couple a huge amount of money and hours of time,” she explains. “We cater to young professionals and students who don’t have time to plan a wedding, but want to have a beautiful event that doesn’t interfere with their professional schedule or study time.”

Only one wedding a week takes place in the place
Anderson says another part of what makes Pattison House special is that they work personally with each couple to help them customize their wedding experience.
“We only host one wedding a week to give our couples the time they need to make their wedding day the way they’ve dreamed it,” she says. “Our couples can choose to get married on our oak covered terrace, in the original barn, in the gazebo by the pond or in our beautiful chapel. We love to offer choices to our couples that make the day truly reflect them.”
“We only do weddings on Saturdays, but on Fridays we allow access to the venue to rehearse and deliver all the groomsmen’s clothes etc, so there’s no need to pack and unpack the car with belongings on arrival on the day of the wedding,” continues Anderson.
She adds: “On the Sunday afternoon after the Saturday event, we allow our couple’s families to come pick up after a good night’s sleep so they don’t have to fill up the vehicles after a full day of celebrating. We aim to make the wedding day as stress-free and carefree as possible.”

There are five main rooms in the building
The Pattison House has five main rooms, including the Bride’s House, the Reception Hall, the Chapel, the Groom’s Room and Pattison Place.
“The bridal house is where all the Pattison brides get ready. It’s the original farmhouse on the property,” says Anderson. “The decor is French country. My husband was working and living in London for a year when I started this project while looking for inspiration for the space. I found it on a trip to France while visiting him in London. It’s filled with antique French furniture, prints, photos and accessories.”
“The reception hall is new construction, but has the same French country inspiration with huge chandeliers, a stone wall with protruding stones that hold candles atop the 16-foot ceiling, a mix of heavy wood tables and tables covered with soft fabric, several pieces of antique French furniture and a wall of antique mirrors that reflect the light of a wall of stone candles,” continues the owner.
Similar to the Reception Hall, the chapel is also a new building. It has an entire wall of shelves covered with candles in front of which couples get married, giving off a very romantic vibe. “It’s simple but elegant with gold crystal chandeliers, white walls, neutral floors and very rustic sconces,” says Anderson.
The groom’s room is the area where the groom and his best man get ready. It is connected to the men’s toilet, which has a shower, as well as enough space for a mirror and a sink for storage. “It’s decorated in a style that evokes the feel of a men’s smoking room or lounge,” says Anderson. “It has a small fridge and an Xbox for entertainment and, of course, cable TV for all the big Saturday sports games.”
After all, Pattison Place is a 1935 house adjacent to the original property that Anderson and her husband bought and renovated as a venue for rehearsal dinners and smaller weddings. “It’s decorated in a Texas rustic style along with some of my husband’s hunting trophies and rustic furniture made by an artist here in Houston who uses wood from old buildings mostly from Mexico,” she says, revealing, “This is a building Love is blind used to film the groom getting ready because our real groom’s room couldn’t accommodate the cameras and the men.”

“It was a real blessing to be chosen as a wedding venue for a popular Netflix show like Love is blind. We are extremely proud of our facility and it was a privilege to show it off to couples and viewers of the show,” says Anderson.
She adds: “While it was fun to see a venue filled with glitz and glamour, we pride ourselves that it doesn’t take all that to make our venue special. We work hard to allow our couples to relax and enjoy their day, making the memories just as beautiful as the the photographs they take. We believe that’s what sets Pattison House apart; the beauty of the property isn’t even the best thing about it.”
