His earnings can vary from day to day, but on average he takes home around £60 to £80 for six hours of work.

“You get 50p per collection, no matter what you collect.

“Postage gets you 38p, despite some postage not really being published,” he said.

Postmen deal with anything that fits in letterboxes – so you don’t have to be at home to receive it.

Most of his money comes from package delivery, though.

“You get 47p per parcel you deliver and there will be lots of parcels.

“And your standard box sets you back about 63p, unless it’s heavy or you have to use two hands because then it’s a pound,” he continued.

Although that may seem like a lot can add up quickly, which is good news for Isaac.

In fact, in another video the driver said he once made £5 from a single delivery, as the home owner ordered so many packages and was paid for each one even if they all went to the same address.

Still, it’s always a busy day, and Isaac revealed that he usually delivers around 150 packages in each six-hour shift.

“So depending on the size etc, you could make between £60 and £80 if you’re lucky,” he said.

After breaking his business on social media, people thought the role would be a good side hustle for those looking for a little extra cash.

One commented: “This is a problem if you want to earn an extra £50 to £100 a week it’s a nice little quick side hustle but me and my friend do and he makes over £750 a week because of how many days he works .”

Another commented: “If it’s your own car and depending on the car you’ve got you’ll still be broke as some cars go through fuel quickly so you fill up every other day until the end of the week £30 wouldn’t it be better to use a company car or an uber driver .”

Isaac said his work role helped him learn “self-worth”.

He said, “If you want to earn what you think you’re worth, then be prepared to work as hard as you can!”

An Evri spokesperson told LADbible: “Couriers are at the heart of our business and all Evri people are paid above the National Living Wage, with the average courier wage in excess of £17 an hour.

“Evri is committed to good employment practices, and it was this commitment that led us to be the first package company to introduce holiday pay, the right to a guaranteed salary, an automatic pension system and parental leave for our delivery people.

“If any delivery person feels they have received a payment that is different from what they expected, please contact their manager so we can look into it immediately.”
