“Everyone in the crowd was very worried about him.

“Bobby has now canceled his upcoming shows and is taking some time off.

“He’s been struggling since losing his fiancee Vicky last year but has thrown himself into work to try and take his mind off it.”

Davro, 65, was booked to perform at the House of Stand Up in Sutton, south London, on Thursday, but a post on Xu, formerly of Twitter, said he would be replaced by comedian Milton Jones.

He became a household name in the 1980s and 90s thanks to a series of popular ITV Saturday night shows including Bobby Davro on the Box, Bobby Davro’s TV Annual and Bobby Davro’s TV Weekly.

After a decline in popularity, Davro joined the cast of the BBC One hit soap EastEnders in August 2007, playing the role of Vinnie Monks, Shirley Carter’s lover.

His first screen appearance took place that October, but he left in the fall of 2008, saying his character “wasn’t very good and they didn’t give me the right story”.

The smiling actor revealed last July that he proposed to his partner Vicky Wright the day before she started chemotherapy for pancreatic cancer.

Vicky died last year at the age of 63.

The engagement celebration last December was at The King’s Arms in Egham, Surrey, where Vicky worked as maitre d’.

Bobby asked famous friends, including Sir Cliff, comedian Jim Davidson, singer Gilbert O’Sullivan and Tony Hadley of Spandau Ballet, to put together video messages.

Vicky, daughter of singer Joy Beverley of The Beverley Sisters and Wolves legend and England footballer Billy Wright – who died of the same condition – was diagnosed with cancer in October 2022.

Bobby first met Vicky when she was performing as part of the pop trio The Foxes, who supported him on tour.

Years later they met again after she moved into the house opposite his late father Bill.

In 2008, he invited her over for Christmas and the friendship turned into love.
