Faheem Ashraf is a Pakistani professional cricketer. He plays for the first-class cricket team for Habib Bank Limited and is also a member of the Pakistan national cricket team. In August 2018, Ashraf was one of 33 players awarded central contracts by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for the 2018-19 season. He is the first Pakistani cricketer to take a hat-trick in T20 international matches.

Rana Faheem Ashraf was born on Sunday, January 16, 1994, in Pur Nagar, Punjab, Pakistan (age 39; as of 2023). His zodiac sign is Capricorn. As a young man, Faheem Ashraf dreamed of joining the Pakistan Army, but cricket was not his main interest. But everything changed when he watched the 2007 World Twenty20 Championship. After witnessing this important event at the age of 13, Faheem developed a strong desire to make a valuable contribution to the country through cricket. Faheem Ashraf was the player who took the most wickets in the Divisional One-Day Cup 2016-17 with a total of 19 wickets. Thereafter, he became Punjab’s captain in the 2017 Pakistan Cup and got eight dismissals in four games. Faheem Ashraf joined Pakistan’s One-Day International (ODI) squad in March 2017, but he did not play in the series against West Indies. In April 2017, he was selected as a member of Pakistan’s ODI team for the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy.

In the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy warm-up match against Bangladesh, Ashraf scored 64 runs to help Pakistan win by two wickets. He made his debut for Pakistan on 12 June 2017 in the Champions Trophy match against Sri Lanka. He defeated Dinesh Chandimal in this match and became the first Pakistani cricketer to win in an ODI. On 12 September 2017, he made his debut for Pakistan in a T2020 International (T20I) against the World XI as part of the 2017 Independence Cup. In April 2018, Faheem Ashraf was selected in the Pakistan Test squad for the tour to Ireland and England in May. He played in Pakistan’s first Test match against Ireland on 11 May 2018. Islamabad United selected Faheem Ashraf from the gold medal category during the Pakistan Super League 2018. Faheem Ashraf was a key contributor to the team’s success in the 2018 season. He took the most wickets in the match and won the Bowler of the Season award and the Maroon Cap after the match.

In September 2018, he was selected for the Paktiya team to participate in the first Afghan Super League. Faheem was selected to represent Pakistan in the 2019 Cricket World Cup in April 2019. However, on May 20, 2019, he was removed from the group when the final roster for the tournament was announced. Faheem Ashraf was selected as a member of the Central Punjab squad for the 2019-20 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy in September 2019.

Faheem Ashraf was selected as one of the 29 players for Pakistan’s tour to England in June 2020. This tour is organized during the COVID-19 outbreak. He was one of the 20 players selected to represent Pakistan in the July 2020 Test match against England. He was signed by Islamabad United for the 2022 Pakistan Super League. Faheem Ashraf joins the Galle Gladiators in July 2022 for the third season of the Sri Lanka Premier League. He signed a contract with the Hobart Hurricanes in August 2022 to compete in Season 12 of the Big Bash League.

- During a practice match on February 14, 2023, Faheem Ashraf broke the window of a Sindh Police Special Security Unit (SSU) bus with a powerful shot. The bus was parked near the National Bank Cricket Arena in Karachi. Ashraf’s bullet hit the bus window, shattering it. To ensure the safety of the cricketers, the bus responsible for the safety of the cricketers was moved away from the training area after the incident.
