  • His passion for movies got to the point where he wanted to move to Mumbai and become an actor. But before embarking on an acting career, he wanted to keep his family and himself financially stable. So, he founded a real estate company. Talking about his real estate business, Soham said-

    My real estate business is my bread and butter. And, I make movies just because I have that support. I am from a small town in Rajasthan (Sri Ganganagar) and my father is a commodity broker earning Rs. 3000 a month. I started working with him when I was 15-16 years old. I started my own real estate business. After I established a certain financial foundation, I began to try my luck in movies. Regardless, moving to a big city like Mumbai is very difficult. It would be foolish to do this without financial stability. “

  • Once his affairs were settled, Soham left for Bombay. When he gets there, Soham finds that everything in the city works differently, too fast. Recalling the days when he first arrived in this city, he said——

    I was taken aback by the sheer number of people. Everyone is always in a hurry. I didn’t even dare order a cup of coffee. I miss my family…I miss the simplicity of home. But here was a race and I realized I had to run too. “

  • While in Mumbai, he attended several acting workshops and got in touch with a family friend, who helped Soham connect with people in the film industry. After several auditions and rejections, he finally got his debut film, Babarr.
