Fans spot Tyson Fury’s ‘terrified’ reaction immediately after Anthony Joshua’s explosive KO of Francis Ngannou

FANS have noted Tyson Fury’s “frightened” reaction immediately after Anthony Joshua’s explosive knockout of Francis Ngannou.

Gypsy King, 35, was in the front row for the heavyweight clash in Saudi Arabia.

And he got the perfect look as AJ demolished his opponent in epic style to secure the victory in the second round.

The cameras immediately cut to Fury who looked completely stunned by his fellow British heavyweight’s brutal finish.

AJ’s promoter Eddie Hearn jumped out of his seat in excitement when his man delivered a crushing right hand to his Cameroonian opponent.

Frank Warren in the seat next to him looked confused, while Paris Fury looked visibly horrified before she started clapping.

But her husband, Tyson, sat perfectly still for a few moments, recording the difficult video.

And fans were convinced the WBC heavyweight champion was worried about the prospect of a possible showdown with Joshua after witnessing his raw power.

One said: “I like Fury but he looks terrified here.”

Another wrote: “Tyson Fury is already scared.”

A third added: “He looks worried.”

A fourth wrote: “Tyson Fury’s reaction to Anthony Joshua being knocked out by Francis Ngannou. I wonder what could be going through his head.”

And the last user replied: “Fury’s reaction might be the lamest way to show you’re not scared I’ve ever seen.”

After his initial unmoved reaction, Fury eventually applauded his compatriot for the incredible knockout before standing again in apparent shock.

Joshua’s convincing victory came just four months after the Gypsy King battled to a controversial split decision victory over Ngannou.

Joshua, however, made light work of the MMA legend.

He knocked Ngannou down two minutes into the fight, prompting a hugely enthusiastic reaction from Fury.

Ngannou was on the canvas again early in the second but stumbled back to his feet.

But AJ, 34, finished the job of destruction later in the second round with a ferocious jab of his big right hand.

And now there is a lot of talk about Fury and Joshua finally meeting in the ring after years of talks.

Fury faces Oleksandr Usyk with all the world heavyweight titles in May.

There is a rematch clause in their contract, but then boxing fans will be desperate to see Battle of Britain.

‘AJ DID FANTASTIC’

Asked about the Joshua fight, Fury said at the Kingdom Arena: “I’m sure Oleksandr Usyk will have something to say about that.

“I had a great performance against Ngannou. AJ was absolutely fantastic and lit him up with a right hand.

“If he fights me after I beat Usyk twice, it will be a different game.”

Fury continued: “I’m still rejecting him. AJ is tailor made for me.

“Just because he knocked out Francis Ngannou – it’s not the same.

“He couldn’t land any of those rights on Usyk, a much shorter and lighter man. Styles make fights and his style was made for me.”

Joshua, who took his record to 28-3 on Friday night, will be desperate to get another shot at the big time after reviving his career following back-to-back losses to Usyk.

The Watford man said: “On the way to the title you always need to stay focused and I had to step away from the mission

“When I saw the Fury fight, I thought this guy can fight, I want a piece of that.

“I’m still learning and pushing, I don’t know if I’m reaching my peak, if it was me down there you’d say ‘Anthony Joshua should retire’.

“In five years I will be done fighting and sitting and all this will be a distant memory.

“I’m going to go back and lock myself in my cage and they can let me out when they want me to fight. I just want to fight.”
