The family traveled from Florida to Annapolis, Maryland, to visit another family member, according to a GoFundMe campaign started by Alyssa’s sister, Ivory Cerezo.
On the fundraising page, Cerezo asked for help transporting the victims’ bodies back to Florida. She also fondly remembered her sister – who recently graduated – and her stepfather.
“My little sister Alyssa is a young, loving girl,” Cerezo wrote. “She just graduated from high school… and was fast-tracked into her 2nd year of college because of her hard work during high school. She likes to sing, cook and dance. She was a gem.”
She continued: “My stepfather, Augie, is a very loving husband, dad, friend and grandfather to my son. He always lifts the spirits with his dad jokes.”
