: Ricky Banks or Faze Banks is a popular American YouTube star and also the COO of FaZe Clan. He is the owner of the YouTube channel ‘FaZe Banks’ which has over 5.4 million subscribers.
Faze Banks was born in Lawrence, MA on October 8, 1991, which makes him 28 years old now. He currently resides in Los Angeles, CA along with his group of friends called the ‘Clout Gang’. The house he lives in is called ‘Clout House’. Lives together with RiceGum, Alissa Violet, Nelk Boys and many other social media stars. He started uploading a vlog every Sunday for a few months. Banks launched his YouTube channel back in 2017, on September 17. His channel was first called ‘BanksHasBank’. His content at the beginning of his youtube career was Gaming. He used to upload short videos featuring crazy tricks from the game ‘Call of Duty’. Before joining the FaZe clan, Banks had a clan called ‘SoaR’, so he changed his channel name to ‘SoaR Banks’.
Later, after joining FaZe Clan, he changed his channel name to “FaZe Banks”. The name was never changed again. He joined the FaZe clan in March 2013 and is still in the clan. At the time of joining the clan, he had about 45 thousand subscribers. It reached 100,000 subscribers at the end of June 2013.
By the end of 2014, he had 300,000 subscribers to his channel. He became famous after joining a clan and playing together with his friends. In March 2017, he moved to Clout House. In mid-2017, it reached one million subscribers.
After reaching the big milestone of one million subscribers, he completely changed the content of his channel. He stopped making gaming videos and started making vlogs and challenge videos. Banks uploaded 4 episodes of Mom’s Basement episodes to his channel and then stopped uploading videos for the next 6 months. He hasn’t uploaded any videos to his channel in 6 months. Exactly after 6 months he posted a video explaining why he left his youtube. Since he started uploading a vlog every Sunday. This continued until May 2019.

The Jake Paul ControversyIt all started when Jake Paul recorded a video in which he said that his assistant was attacked by FaZe Banks. After the video was released, the video went viral. FaZe Banks responded to this and said that he did not remember doing such a thing. He said he may have accidentally hit her while dancing.
After that, he uploaded another video in which he interviewed Team 10 member ‘Max Beaumont’. He confirmed that Banks did not attack Jake Paul’s assistant. At the end of the interview, we learn that Banks did nothing that was mentioned in the Jake Paul video. He had security footage but was not allowed to share it publicly.
After that video went public, Jake Paul lost about 200k subscribers, and Banks gained about a million subscribers in a week. Recently, Ricky met Jake Paul and ended their feud.
Controversy at Barley HouseThis incident happened in November 2017, when Ricky and Alissa Violet went to the Barley House for Thanksgiving dinner. When Alissa went to the bathroom, Alissa was attacked by two staff members. Banks then argued with the staff leading to a brawl between Banks and Barley’s staff. During the fight, Banks broke a finger on his left hand, and Alissa suffered an injury to her lip.
Barley House made a video about the situation, and so did Banks. But Barley House sued Banks because Barley House filed a training restraining order, meaning Banks couldn’t make a video response to the matter. He was sued and forced to delete the video. The video was already uploaded by many other channels and Banks was supposed to pay a fine for making the video.
The Tfue & FaZe ControversyIn May 2019, Tfue sued Faze Clan for limiting his career opportunities. Tfue said he missed many opportunities because of the FaZe Clan. Tfue said he only got 20% of the revenue from branded videos. Tfue also said he was forced to live in the Hollywood Hills with other YouTubers and was given alcohol 21 years ago.
The banks responded and said that they were all fake. He said they only took $60,000 from Tfue since he joined FaZe and that was from the branding deal. He also said it was 0.1% of his total earnings.
Tfue made a response to this incident. He said there were allegations of pressure to drink alcohol and perform dangerous stunts. He said he didn’t want them to be in the lawsuit. After that, he wanted FaZe to officially announce the deal.
The official contract was later leaked online. According to the deal, Tfue gets 80% of brand deals, 50% of merchandise, 50% of brand deals, 50% of appearance fees and 20% of prize money. Keemstar confirmed via FaZe that the deal is real.
