POLICE are investigating the theory that a missing TV presenter was stalked by his police ex-lover after he disappeared with his partner.
News of the frantic search shocked Australia after police discovered the bloody clothes of former TV presenter Jesse Baird, 26, and his boyfriend Luke Davies, 29, in the skip.

Police are urgently looking for the pair – who were last seen in the Sydney suburb of Paddington on Monday.
CCTV shows Baird and Davies near his home in Paddington – with a white van also seen on the footage being investigated by officers.
Police found bloody clothes belonging to Davies and Baird on Wednesday morning.
At this stage, it is not known who the blood belongs to.
But a phone, keys and credit cards were also among the items discovered in the dumpster – 18 miles away from Baird’s home.
Police searched Baird’s home in Paddington and found “a large amount of blood” and bloodstained furniture.
There were also “signs of a struggle” as furniture was moved.
The amount of blood led officers to believe at least one suffered “significant injury”.
After entering Baird’s property, officers immediately established a crime scene.
Detectives are treating the couple’s disappearance as suspicious after Davies’ Waterloo home was also discovered to be empty.
Police now believe a third person may be involved in the case after speaking to families on Thursday.
Beau Lamarre, a current police officer, was named a person of interest in the case after investigators learned he once dated Baird.
Relatives told police their breakup was “bitter”.
The TV star was afraid that someone was stalking him, according to his friends.
An unnamed friend told the Daily Telegraph: “I fear so much for his well-being.
“He used the word stalker.”
Investigators want to speak with the officer, but have not been able to locate him.
It is understood that Lamarre has taken sick leave this week.
A police statement read: “Following the investigation, detectives are looking into a line of inquiry that a third person may be able to assist with the investigation.
“The police are currently trying to locate him.
“Detectives will continue to look into any past relationships and associations.”
Baird’s neighbors heard the argument early Monday morning but did not report it until police began searching the scene two days later.
Police now fear for both men as their families are unable to reach them.
Detective Superintendent Jodi Radmore said: “There has been some sort of incident which more than likely took place at the Paddington address and it has left us with serious concerns for one and possibly both.
“It is a very early stage investigation. We are still processing the Paddington address. All lines of inquiry are open.”
Three cars owned by men were seized.
Their credit cards had not been used since the weekend and were discovered in the skip.
Forensic experts visited the crime scene today.
Police were seen removing furniture from the home, including a cabinet that appeared to have blood stains on it.
Friends reported they last saw Baird on Tuesday and he appeared “fine.”
Davies has not been at work since Monday and his family has not spoken to him since.

Davies also updated his social media account the day before his disappearance with a series of pictures of him in Vancouver, Canada.
The public is urged to contact police if they have any information about the men’s disappearance.
Baird worked at Network Ten and Studio 10 as a presenter and red carpet reporter for seven years.
He left Studio 10 in January after his show was axed by the network late last year.
Stacey Thompson, who worked with Baird on children’s show Totally Wild, told the DailyMail: “I’m actually shocked.
“I worked with Jesse for a few years and we sat across from each other in TW’s office.
“He was a wonderful work friend, always professional and eager to learn. I would prefer not to comment further at this time, until more details come to light.”
Davies worked as a flight attendant for Qantas after recently moving from Brisbane to Sydney.
The company issued a statement, offering support to Davies’ colleagues who were close to him.
They wrote: “Our thoughts are with the family, friends and colleagues of our crew member at this very difficult time.”
Davies’ co-worker, Maddison Bradley, told the DailyMail: “I hope we find him. He’s such a dear soul!”
The couple had been dating for “a few months”, according to Davies’ friend Sophie Inez.
She said: “I spoke to Luke just before he moved from Brisbane to Sydney for work a few months ago.
“He was so excited about his next chapter and the long flight. He is such a lovely and charismatic person.”
Davi’s longtime friend, Tomas Mian, said his friends back home were shocked to hear the news.
“Luke has a lot of friends and is a very fun social person. He is a kind and generous boy.
“He seemed to love his new job. All his friends from Brisbane are in complete shock to find out only today,” he said.
