Fitness Influencer, 23, Dies After Falling into a Ravine While Creating Content

Fitness influencer Giorgi “Tzane” Janelidze died on Wednesday after falling into a ravine while filming social media content in Italy.

According to Greek media Ethnos, the accident occurred during the 23-year-old’s visit to Roghuda Vecchio, Calabria, an ancient mountain village abandoned in the 1970s due to severe flooding. While standing on the balcony without a railing, he slipped and fell into the abyss.

Despite the efforts of the firefighters who came to the scene, they were unable to save him. Eventually, helicopters were called to retrieve his body due to the depth of the ravine. From there, his body was transported to the town of Saline Joniche, where it was handed over to the authorities.

Janelidze’s friend Chris Kogias, who accompanied him on the trip, confirmed the news of the death.

“Tzane is no longer with us,” said Kogias, who is also a social media influencer. “He left us yesterday afternoon during our trip to Italy. Please pray with us that his soul may rest in peace.”
