Florence Pugh Brings the Heat to the 2024 Golden Globes Red Carpet with Fiery Sheer Dress and Platinum Faux Hawk

The 2024 Golden Globes red carpet wasn’t ready for Florence Pugh.

The Oppenheimer the actress arrived wearing a beautiful sheer red Valentino dress studded with flowers. Underneath her dress, she wore red hot pants that peeked out as she twirled on the red carpet. She wore her hair styled in a platinum updo and wore sparkling jewels.

Last year was a big year for the 28-year-old actor’s career. In addition to starring in Christopher Nolan’s historical epic Oppenheimerwhich was nominated for eight Golden Globes, she also lent her voice to the nominee for best animated film The boy and the heron. After walking the red carpet, Pugh will present the award later in the evening.

Pugh’s fashion choices are as daring as the characters she plays on screen. The Dina: The second part the star played a key role in popularizing the see-through dress trend, which is now regularly seen on the red carpet.

In 2022, she caused a stir when she arrived at the Valentino Fall/Winter Haute Couture show in Rome wearing a sheer pink Valentino dress that showed off her nipples. Her nipple-free moment led to conversations about female autonomy and fashion, but the actress also faced criticism.

However, Pugh has never shied away from addressing her critics or making it clear that she’s comfortable in her own skin — whether it bothers some people or not.

In an interview with S. 2023 EllaPugh opened up about the reaction to her pink Valentino dress.

“When it all went down with the Valentino pink dress a year ago, my nipples were visible through a piece of fabric and it really upset people,” she said. “People are afraid of freedom; the fact that I’m comfortable and happy. Keeping women quiet by commenting on their bodies has worked for a very long time. I think we’re in this situation now where a lot of people are saying, ‘Bali me ku…’ ”

Pugh added: “Unfortunately, we’ve become so terrified of the human body that we can’t even look at my two sweet little nipples behind the fabric in a non-sexual way. We have to keep reminding everyone that there’s more than one reason for women’s bodies [to exist].”
