Florence Pugh Struck in Face by Object Thrown from Crowd at Dune: Part Two Panel

Florence Pugh encountered an unexpected incident while promoting her new film.

According to Rolling stoneThe 27-year-old actress attended Dina: The second part panel in São Paulo, Brazil on Sunday and got a nasty punch to the face.

While standing on stage with her co-stars Timothée Chalamet, Austin Butler and Zendaya, as well as the film’s director, Denis Villeneuve, Pugh was struck in the face by an object thrown from the crowd.

Shocked by the moment, which was recorded on social networks, the star touched her head before crouching down to grab the item. Her colleagues also seemed surprised as they looked at her after the incident.

Per Sky News, Pugh previously celebrated the energy of the crowd on Sunday. “Coming here, the power of this room is because of the first movie,” she said.

“We felt it when we went on set every day. So it’s a really, really special feeling to be here with another one. And I’m very, very proud.”
