Foo Fighters pulled out of a planned festival appearance weeks after frontman Dave Grohl revealed he recently fathered a child out of wedlock.
On Thursday, Sept. 26, the band announced on Instagram that they “will no longer be appearing” at this weekend’s Soundside Music Festival — where they were set to headline the second day of the event — in Bridgeport, Conn. (Jack White is now slated to fill in for the Foo Fighters.)
Earlier this month, Grohl, 55, shared a statement on his Instagram account, telling fans he had a “new baby girl.”
“I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her. I love my wife and my children and will do everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness,” Grohl, who has been married to Jordyn Blum since 2003, wrote. “We are grateful for your consideration for all the children involved as we move forward together.”

Although the couple — who are parents to daughters Violet, 18, Harper, 15, and Ophelia, 10 — haven’t spoken publicly about the state of their marriage, multiple sources told PEOPLE that Blum had known about Grohl’s baby for “some time.”

“She was shocked when she found out… Her friends are like family and they rallied around her,” said friend Blum.
Through recent upheavals in their marriage, Grohl and Blum, 48, have prioritized their children, insiders said.
“She’s a great mom and is very dedicated to their daughters,” another source added.
The couple celebrated their 21st wedding anniversary in August and were photographed at Wimbledon in London in July, sitting side by side and seen hanging out with Duran Duran rocker Simon Le Bon.
