Bethenny Frankel’s daughter Bryn reveals what it’s like to have the ‘Real Housewives’ star as a mom

Back in June, Bryn – who Frankel shares with ex-husband Jason Hoppy – paid a visit Today to support her mom, who was replacing regular host Jenna Bush Hager. “It’s the first time she’s appeared with me and she was excited,” Frankel told co-host Hoda Kotb at the time.

Kotb, 59, asked Bryn to talk about what it’s like to have Frankel as a parent. “That’s crazy,” Bryn admitted with a giggle.

“Like, all the stories and everything,” she continued, prompting Frankel to joke, “Adventures every day.”

Bryan also revealed that Frankel is a strict parent. “You get to a point and then you get really angry,” she told her mom, before saying Frankel likes to use the catchphrase “Turn off the program” when she’s really reached her limit.

During Bryn’s Today appearance, Frankel also talked about entering the world of teen parenthood after her daughter turned 13 in May. “It’s amazing,” the reality star said before sharing her advice. “You have to be thoughtful about it. You know, it’s the ocean, it moves. You can’t predict the ocean. You can’t predict the tide. You have to swim under the wave. You can’t fight the wave.”

In honor of Brynn’s birthday, Frankel posted a touching tribute to the teenager, talking about how nothing is more important to her than being a mom.

“I may be working hard at work, but there is nothing I take more seriously than being a mother to my sweet, beautiful baby girl. Every parent is thrilled, so I’ll try to hold back, but she’s perfect,” Frankel wrote alongside a series of photos of Bryn over the years.

“I can’t believe how loving, sweet, crazy, natural, down-to-earth and all-around good she is,” she continued. “She was born a nice girl and never strayed. She was blessed with as many gifts as I have flaws, and I am so grateful to be going through this wonderful life with her.”

At the time, Frankel also shared photos from a hotel party she threw for Bryn and a group of friends. In the title of the post, she explained that she prefers to give her daughter memories rather than elaborate gifts.

“I’m more into experiences than big gifts for these moments, and she loves it so much and makes memories that will last a lifetime,” she wrote of Bryn. “When she was little, she would pick out a special group of girls that she really wanted to share and make memories with, and I would try to create something small, special and magical – but never too much.”
