He spontaneously proposed to Rosie on February 23, 2023, while the couple was on a boat in the middle of the ocean in Thailand. “I didn’t have a ring, so I used string from the cutlery they had on the boat,” Glazer tells PEOPLE.
They kept their engagement a secret for the next month until Glazer had time to buy a “real” ring and make a more official proposal. They shared the news publicly on March 15.
As they reflect on their wedding, the couple says they feel lucky to have found each other and taken this important step together.

“For a long time, I felt like things were getting in the way of me having love. That’s what depression and anxiety tell you,” says Glazer. “It turns out I’ve been waiting my whole life for Rosie. While we’ll be getting married later in life, if it’s for eternity, then 54 years of waiting is nothing compared to a ‘forever’ relationship.”

“I finally found my soulmate,” Rosie declares, reflecting on her journey to meeting Glazer. “I was always going to be very special, even if it meant being alone. I did a lot of work on myself in my 30s, preparing myself to be strong in life, assuming that man would never come. Jay didn’t just come, break up is the door like my knight in shining armor and allowed me to shed my own armor and really blossom into how beautiful it is to love.”
The morning after the wedding, Glazer and Rosie began their honeymoon with a two-day stay in Ravello, Italy, followed by stops in Capri, Tuscany and Rome. “Then we’ll come home to lots of wedding dinners that our friends will throw for us,” Glazer says.
And as they embark on married life together, the two expect “lots of love, lots of nights in Malibu drinking wine and watching the beach, thanking God for finally bringing us here.”
