Fred Armisen Is Portrayed As An Uncle Fester On Netflix’s Horror Show “Wednesday”

A new trailer for Wednesday’s much-anticipated Netflix horror comedy debuted yesterday, featuring several main characters, including Fred Armisen’s Uncle Fester. In the teaser, the veteran actor appeared with a new bald and scary face, surprising his niece Wednesday Addams (Jenna Ortega) in the forest. He also seems to be a key figure in helping Wednesday in her research into the shady Nevermore Academy.

Wednesday is the spin-off to the hugely popular Addams Family, and will feature a surprise appearance by original actress Christina Ricci. The series will revolve around Ortega’s Wednesday, when her parents, Gomez and Morticia Addams (Luis Guzmán and Catherine Zeta-Jones), send her to Nevermore School to learn more about her talent.

The official synopsis of the program is as follows:

“While attending Nevermore Academy, Wednesday Addams attempts to use her burgeoning gift of spirituality to prevent a murder and unravel a mystery that has haunted her parents for 25 years.”

Fred Armisen started his career as a drummer over 30 years ago.

For good reason, Fred Armisen added a level of excitement to the series. With the recent announcement of the series’ creative team, as well as the announcement of the trailer, Armisen has become one of the biggest stars of the series. Armisen is an American actor, comedian, writer, producer, and musician who began his career as a drummer more than three decades ago. He was born in Hattiesburg, Mississippi and moved to New York with his family as a child. Armisen attended the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan, but dropped out to pursue a career in rock music. Armisen began his musical career in 1984 as a drummer in a local band.

A few years later, he moved to Chicago and joined the band Trenchmouth. He later performed with another band, Blue Man Group. When he’s not in the band, Armisen’s main interest is television. He describes his hobby as follows:

“I wanted to be on television at some point. For some reason, I assumed it would be a roundabout; I didn’t know it was going to be a comedy and Saturday Night Live. I just I want to achieve something with my performance there.”

After appearing on shows like Late Night with Conan O’Brien, Fred Armisen became a regular on Saturday Night Live, taking his career to the next level. After appearing in shows and movies such as The Rocker, Tenacious D in The Pick of Destiny, Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy and Parks and Recreation, he appeared in the IFC comedy series Portlandia, for which he was cast Emmy Award nomination. Meanwhile, Fred Armisen co-produced and executive produced several series in the mainstream media.

His appearance as the strange and sinister Uncle Fester in Netflix’s Wednesdays is much-anticipated. Gwendoline Christie, Jamie McShane, Percy Hynes White, Hunter Doohan, Emma Myers, Joy Sunday, Naomi J. Ogawa, Moosa Mostafa, Georgie Farmer, Riki Lindhome, Christina Ricci and Isaac Ordonez will add to the cast.
