In the history of Dirt Late Model racing, Freddy Smith will always be remembered as a true legend. His spectacular career, which included numerous championship victories, spanned from start to his penultimate triumph, for a staggering total of 785 career victories on the modern tour. The record five-time winner of the World Dirt Track Championship was a native of Kings Mountain, North Carolina, and was nicknamed the Southern Gentleman.
