Officers admitted that the wife of Gene Hackman Betsy Arakawa was still alive for a full 24 hours after the authorities initially believed she had died.
Preliminary records from the cell phone show that Betsy on February 12th, 24 hours after it was believed that the multiple calls to the Santa Fe Medical Center had passed away, 24 hours after believed it had passed away on February 11.

The new discoveries of Serif’s Santa Fe department challenge the previous reports and add a layer of mystery to the already confusing time lane.
“We can now confirm that Mrs. Hackman’s phone was used on February 12 to call the Medical Center in Santa Feu, Cloudberry Health,” the Authorities told Fox News.
“A total of three calls were sent that morning, all at the Medical Center.
“One arrival call was sent to Mrs. Hackman from the same medical center that afternoon.

“This appeared as a missed call to Mrs. Hackman’s mobile phone.”
The revelation confirms the statement of Dr. Josiah Child, a former emergency expert in Cloudberry Health.
Dr. Child, who talked to Betsy a few weeks before his death, had previously said Betsy scheduled a meeting for February 12, the day after the alleged death.
“She ended the meeting for herself for February 12th. That was for something not associated with anything respiratory,” explained Dr. Child.
He also noted that Betsy had canceled a meeting only a few days earlier, citing her husband’s declining health.
Dr. Child asked questions about Betsy’s cause of death, suggesting that her diagnosis of hantavirus may not fully explain the situation.

“It’s surprising that Mrs. Hackman spoke with my office on February 10th and again on February 12th and did not appear in a respiratory distribution,” he said.
“Most patients who have hantavirus die in the hospital.”
Betsy is diagnosed with hantavirus pulmonary syndrome, a rare and potentially deadly disease that is transmitted by rodent exposure.
However, Dr. Child’s account leads to suspicion of the seriousness of her condition, as she did not show the symptoms that are usually associated with the disease during her phone calls.
Adding the confusion, Gene Hackman, who suffered from advanced Alzheimer’s, was reportedly for days alone in the house of a married couple after his wife’s death.
It may not have been aware of Betsy’s passage, and the authorities later confirmed that his death occurred on February 18, a week after his wife.
The Gene Hackman family full statement
The Gene Hackman family spoke about the actor’s death after being found dead with her husband Betsy Arakawa at their home of Santa Fe.
Hackman’s daughters, Elizabeth and Leslie, and his granddaughter Annie, announced a statement.
“With great sadness, we announce the passage of our father, Gene Hackman and his wife Betsy,” said Elizabeth, Leslie and Annie Hackman.
“Millions around the world have loved him and admired him because of his great acting career, but for us he was always only a dad and grandfather.
“We will miss very much and will be devastated by the loss.”
Gene’s cause of death ruled as a hypertensive atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, with Alzheimer playing a significant role.
None of the Hackmans’ bodies were found until February 26, when the neighbor’s guardian called 911 after finding them inappropriate.
While the authorities closed themselves because of death for each of them, Betsy’s mysterious phone calls on February 12th continue to ask questions about the weather strap and the circumstances of her death.
Meanwhile, Gene Hackman’s wealth of £ 62 million could be given to his three children, although they were not appointed at his will.
The legendary French connection star called Betsy Arakawa as the only user.
But Arakawa, 65, was found dead along with Hackman at their home in New Mexico, and the authorities said she passed away a week before him.
Legal experts say that this time line could mean default hackman settings on his three children – Christopher, 65, Elizabeth, 62, and Leslie, 58 – according to the Laws on Sukcession.
According to California lawyer Tre Lovell, the acting will, last updated in 2005, appointed only Awakawa as a user.
With its passage before the hackman, the property could now completely bypass the will.
Lovell said to the BBC: “The estate will actually be rated in accordance with the Laws of Succession of the bowel and the children will be legally next in line to inherit.”
However, Hackman’s children will probably need to prove that the will is invalid because of his wife’s earlier death.
