Furious Eurovision fans call ‘sabotage’ after series of sound issues for Olly Alexander during final

EUROVISION fans have accused the show of ‘sabotaging’ the UK’s chances of winning the competition.

Olly Alexander took to the stage to perform his single Dizzy with raunchy backing dancers.

However, viewers were quick to notice that the sound quality was not up to par, with some speculating that this was intentional.

At one point Olly was seen touching his handset.

“Great performance but terrible sound production. #Eurovision #UK,” wrote one.

“Hmm why is the sound different for #ollyalexander #uk ??? #Eurovision2024 #eurovision,” added another.

“What’s wrong with the sound suddenly #EUROVISION sabotage,” chimed in a third.

Despite the technical problems, the audience was delighted with Olly’s set.

Commentator Graham Norton said it was one of the best stage sets the UK had ever had.

This is not the first time that Olly has had problems with the sound at one of his Eurovision performances.

During the semi-final, spectators complained that the sound was muffled and that they could not hear him well.

“Eurovision notice! There was a semi-final last night. I performed, it was good. I dropped my microphone halfway through the performance so I had to grab it and it just threw me off,” he said.

“I was just worried. There were elements of the routine that I couldn’t do as well as I would have liked.

“I was pretty stressed that my backpack was just going to fall off completely and my lugs would… whatever. It doesn’t matter,” he said, shaking his head.

“That’s the thrill of live music, live television, anything can happen,” he smiled.

Olly has been all over his Instagram stories since his moment on stage.

He shared a picture of him with back-up dancers, inviting people to vote for his performance.
