Mr. Marimuthu was popularly known as Ethirneechal Marimuthu. He was known by this name because of his famous television series Ethrineechal. He was a famous talented actor and director of Tamil film industry. He was mostly passionate about directing, but he also dabbled in acting. He has been seen in several films and television shows. He was born on 12 July 1957. His birthplace is Varysanadu, Theni District, Tamil Nadu, India. He was also known by some other names which include Sethupathi, AGS and GM. Mr. Marimuthu left his home in Pasumalaitheri village in Theni and went to Chennai to become a film director in 1998 or 1990. He made his official film debut as a director in Kannum Kannum in 2008.
