Gabriel Macht's 2 Kids: All About Satine and Luca

When Gabriel Macht became a father to his children, Satine and Luca, it was a “huge” moment for him.

Known for his role as Harvey Specter on Suitshe took a break from acting after the USA Network show ended in 2019, and his family has been his main focus ever since. The actor and his wife Jacinda Barrett first met on a blind date and got married in 2004.

They had their first child, daughter Satine, in 2007, and their second, son Luca, in 2014. While the family of four chooses to keep their private lives quite private, they share moments from their lives on social media.

Macht is a self-described “family man” who loves being with his wife and children. In a 2016 interview with New Zealand’s Woman’s Day magazine, he said: “My relationships with my wife and children are my priorities.”

Barrett also made him famous as a parent. In honor of Father’s Day 2017, she posted a sweet photo on Instagram of Satine and Luca kissing Macht on the cheek.

The actress wrote with the photo: “The children are more than blessed to have you, @iamgabrielmachta, as their father. Thank you for the thousand ways you love them every day.”

Macht and Barrett welcomed their first child, Satine Anais Geraldine, on August 20, 2007. At the time, the couple’s publicist told PEOPLE, “Mom and Satine are happy and healthy.”

Barrett spoke to PEOPLE about how much she loves being a mom, saying, “Seeing her every day … she just started smiling, and it’s the simplest thing, a smile.”

In an interview with S. in 2014 Charlotte ObserverMacht spoke of his love for his daughter and family. “I appreciate so much the opportunity I got to work and the people I was able to work with, but I think family is better than anything,” he told the newspaper.

Macht also shared his admiration for Satine’s personality. “To produce a human person who has incredible sensitivity, just a little being who is empathetic and who explores everything, who is kind and motivated… that’s what I’m most proud of,” the actor explained.

As for his screen work, he revealed Satine’s thoughts on it Suits until Women’s Day. “My daughter thinks there’s too much ‘s—s,'” he said. “And he always wants me to write a letter to my boss and say, ‘hey, just take some of that s—s out.’ ”

A look at Barrett’s personal Instagram account shows that the family always travels together, and in an interview with Woman’s Day, Macht shared, “My daughter has probably been on over 500 planes. She is an amazing traveler.”

As she grows up out of the limelight, her parents see her now and then. In 2019, Barrett posted a photo on Instagram of her and Satine dancing on the beach. In the caption, she wrote: “I’m not sure it can get any better than this.” I would dance with you forever, my dear.”

The couple welcomed their son, Luca, in February 2014. A rep told PEOPLE that “the family is excited” about the birth.

Like his parents and sister, Luca also loves to travel and has seen a lot of the world with his family. In an interview with Woman’s Day in 2016, Macht touched on how much they travel, saying, “My kids have their own miles.” He explained that while Satine was a great traveler, Luca hadn’t arrived yet. “My son is slowly picking it up,” he said.

In 2018, Barrett posted a rare photo on Instagram of them together by the sea in the United Kingdom.

“When it’s just the four of us wandering around unknown places, I’m so happy,” she wrote in the description. “Our family myth that is written in each of us – a myth of movement and immersion, fear and conflict, capriciousness and love. Above all, love. We are an army of love.”

Barrett also shared Instagram photos of Luca on the Empire State Building with Macht, looking at a Banksy mural in Toronto, Canada, and kissing her outside Buckingham Palace in London.
