He began his career by assisting the famous choreographer Kamaj, which he continued until his death. At the age of 10, he formed his own dance company and at 19 he became a choreographer. His debut as a choreographer in a film was in the 1992 film Anaam.
However, the song that gave him his first big break was “Husn Hai Suhana” from the film Coolie No. 1 (1995). His debut as a film director was the 2007 film Swami.
He made his debut as an actor in the film “Ghatak: Lethal (1996)” and made a special appearance in the song “Koi Jaye To Le Aaye”. His famous role was in the 2013 film “ABCD (Any Body Can Dance)”. He made a special appearance as “Mr. Zal” in the Chinese super hit movie “Operation Mekong” (2016).
