Gangsta Boo, also known as Lola Chantrelle Mitchell, a well-known rapper, died on January 1, 2023, at the age of 43. She died of a heroin overdose and heart arrest, according to reports. According to TMZ, Mitchell’s brother reported that she was performing the night before at an event in Memphis when she overdosed and was brought to the hospital.
According to some stories, her death was caused by the presence of drugs or a fentanyl-laced product. The detectives have already begun their investigation, and an autopsy report is being sought to determine the precise cause of her death. Several well-known music industry figures, including record producer and rapper DJ Paul, paid homage to her on social media. Paul posted a photo of Boo wearing a black suit and working on some DJ equipment.

Chantrelle, who was born on August 7, 1979, became interested in rapping at an early age. She was a part of the hip-hop group Da Mafia 6ix, with whom she collaborated on their first mixtape, 6ix Commandments. She rose to prominence after joining the hip-hop group Three 6 Mafia, which released six albums while Chantrelle was a member. Mystic Stylez, Chapter 1: The End, Chapter 2: World Dominion, Tear Da Club Up Thugs, When the Smoke Clears: Sixty 6, Sixty 1, and Choices: The Album was all on the list.
Chantrelle, Koopsta Knicca, Lord Infamous, and Crunchy Black were among the first members of Three 6 Mafia, which was founded in 1991. Koopsta died in October 2015, while Lord died in December 2013. Black stayed with the group until 2006. DJ Paul and Juicy J are currently on the bill. Gangsta Boo had a successful solo career, releasing three albums. Enquiring Minds, her first album, was released in September 1998 by Hypnotize Minds/Relativity Records. The album debuted at number 46 on the US Billboard 200 and number 15 on the US Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.
Both Worlds *69, her second album, was released in July 2001 and includes 17 hits. The album debuted at number 29 on the US Billboard 200 and number 8 on the US Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. Enquiring Minds II: The Soap Opera, Boo’s last album, was released in September 2003. It peaked at number 53 on the US Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and number 24 on the US Independent Albums chart.
