But for such a liberal leftist, Gary Neville doesn’t make half as much posh company.

The former Manchester United ace has rented out his entire five-star hotel in the stock market town to A-list superstar Madonna while she rehearses for her upcoming tour — so the queen of pop and her entourage can relax in serious style during their down time.

And considering the hotel is a big gaffe, in which Gary owns a substantial stake along with his old team-mate Ryan Giggs, that sounds like a big payday. . . not bad for someone so keen to bang anyone to make a few quid.

Just this week we saw Saint Gary ranting about the Labor Party conference, maddeningly presenting it as a charity fundraiser compared to last week’s Tory rally,

At least now he will be in a good position to make a generous donation to the comrades’ cause.

Anyway, Madge and Co landed in the north of England a few days ago – with three huge vans hauling her family behind her own Range Rover and a huge amount of luggage including three fancy Peloton exercise bikes to keep her fit before a grueling string of gigs.

And it will fit in perfectly with the luxury hotel, which has recently hosted Shania Twain, Dua Lipa, Pink and Mick Jagger.

Gary is really good company.

The star is understood to have hired a venue nearby to hold major rehearsals for his show before he kicks off at London’s O2 Arena this Saturday for four nights, ahead of a European leg and then returning to the UK ahead of his American dates.

A source said: “Madonna is doing everything she can – a huge entourage, entire hotels, major rehearsal venues for several days – nothing is left to chance.

“You can’t be known as the Queen of Pop if you don’t do it right, which is exactly what it is.”
