Gavin Rossdale Encourages Fans to Come 'See a Bit of Art' as Bush Hits the Road This Summer (Exclusive)

With many top artists hitting the road this summer, now’s your chance to grab tickets for just $25! Livenation’s annual Concert Week is back again this year, with more than 900 artists on tour with more than 5,000 concerts available from May 8-14 at up to 75% off.

The promotion includes several genres from pop, rock, country, R&B. metal, hip-hop and more, including artists such as 21 Savage, Maren Morris, New Kids on the Block, Peso Pluma and Janet Jackson.

Among the 2023 entrants is the rock group Bush, whose frontman Gavin Rossdale tells PEOPLE he knows that often just going to a show can be quite an expense.

“Anytime someone can see just a little bit of culture and a little bit of art, and it doesn’t have to be that expensive, that’s great,” says the rocker, 58.

“I’m so happy to be a part of it because I know it often ends up costing a lot of money. People can’t even come to shows because they can be quite expensive. You’ve got parking and you want to have a couple of drinks, maybe eat, and if we’re lucky, maybe let’s pick up some merch…it’s crazy all of a sudden! So it’s super cool to give people a break.”

Gavin Rossdale still finds ‘balance’ between rock star life and father life: ‘Everything has a price’ (Exclusive)

Rossdale, who will celebrate the 30th anniversary of Bush’s breakthrough album Sixteen stone later this year, is already on the road this spring, but will be turning up the heat as the band embarks on their Loaded: The Greatest Hits tour, which kicks off in July.

“It was a brilliant development that I didn’t expect,” he says of last year’s success Uploaded: Greatest Hits 1994-2023. Rossdale previously told PEOPLE that he had to come up with the idea — “recalculating and looking back at yourself just isn’t something that comes naturally,” he says now — but it was ultimately a positive experience for the band.

“The best thing about this job is that there are no rules, what it’s done is it’s kind of fostered a bond between a bunch of people,” Rossdale explains. “It took us a long time to get to this point, and it’s just bringing people with us, you know what I mean? It didn’t just happen.”

He continues: “I’m so flattered by it. I hope it seems like it comes from such genuine enthusiasm for what I’ve decided to dedicate my life to.”

In addition to the hits, Bush’s tour may also include some newer songs, as Rossdale said “there’s going to be a new song this summer that I’m really excited about.” Never content to rest on his laurels — “it doesn’t even sound very comfortable, if you think about it,” he jokes — the musician reveals that he already has most of the band’s next album lined up.

“Ten songs are done, so I’m happy about that,” says Rossdale. “Being in contention for a new record is really empowering me on the tour. I like this pace. You want to be on your toes to do well!”
