A BODY has been found in the search for Gaynor Lord – seven days after a missing mother went missing.
The 55-year-old disappeared on Friday December 8 after she was seen leaving work early – then speeding through the streets of Norwich.

On the day she went missing, her white work shirt, yellow tank top and jewelery were found strewn about – and her olive drab coat was found in the River Wensum.
That evening, the mother’s cell phone, coat, ring and glasses were found as police continued to search Wensum Park.
Officers released CCTV of Gaynor earlier this week in the hope that people who saw her would come forward.
In the footage, she was seen smiling as she left work, before appearing to race through the streets.
The footage was released as divers searched the river for the missing mother.
Tragically, police have now revealed that a body has been found.
This morning, an orange buoy was placed about 100 meters downstream from where the focus of the search was the day before.
The Environment Agency’s search vessel was then stationed next to the buoy while the dive team arrived just after 11am.
Two members of the specialist diving team could be seen surveying the area, checking that the water was safe to enter.
It comes as…
Police divers with flippers could be seen ready to enter the water at a park further up the river, but after a phone call was received, their gear was packed and they were diverted.
A police spokesman said: “Police searching for missing Norwich woman Gaynor Lord can confirm that a body has been found in the River Wensum.
“Although the body has not been officially identified, Gaynor’s family has been notified.
“They continue to be supported by specially trained officers.”
A mum was reported missing after officers found her ID in a bag – and learned she hadn’t returned home from work on Friday night.
On Tuesday, officers said “the most likely scenario is that Gaynor went into the water.”
Police divers, assisted by fire crews and the coastguard, searched the nearby River Wensum yesterday using sonar equipment to examine the water.
Officers also used drones and foot searches to look for further leads.
Gaynor’s family tragically made a desperate plea on Tuesday – five days of searching for their mother.
Her daughter Aleksandra posted on Facebook: “Please share, if anyone knows anything please contact the police.”
“We want her home.”
She was last seen walking along London Street in Norwich at around 2.45pm on Friday – having left work at Jarrold’s department store around 15 minutes earlier.
Police released a picture of Gaynor smiling from ear to ear as she left her workplace – Bullards Gin, at Jarrold’s department store.
Then CCTV footage shows the mum running down the path with her coat in hand.
She seems to be in a hurry, in a hurry to cross the road.
The mum appears to have spent 30 minutes in the cathedral before being spotted again on CCTV.
It was thought that mum might have met someone at the cathedral before she disappeared.
As he makes his way down the street, putting on his coat as he walks.
It was last recorded on CCTV at 16.01.
