Gaynor’s family have been informed of the update and are being supported by specialist officers.

The official identification of the body should take place tomorrow, the police spokesman added.

Chief Superintendent Dave Buckley said: “The post mortem found no signs of other parties being involved.

“Although our search has ended, officers are continuing to work to establish the full circumstances surrounding Gaynor’s disappearance.

“We will continue the investigation on all lines to understand why she disappeared.

“Our thoughts remain with Gaynor’s family at this incredibly difficult time.”

New footage has emerged today showing the mum’s last known movements.

CCTV obtained by the Mail appears to show Gaynor turning off St Augustine Street onto Bakers Road.

Gaynor, 55, went missing on Friday last week after leaving work early – with officers releasing CCTV showing the mother speeding through the streets of Norwich.

On the day she went missing, her white work shirt, yellow tank top and jewelery were found strewn in the park – and her olive drab coat was found in the River Wensum.

That evening, the mother’s cell phone, coat, ring and glasses were found as police continued to search Wensum Park.

Officers released CCTV of Gaynor earlier this week in the hope that people who saw her would come forward.

In the footage, she was seen smiling as she left work, before appearing to race through the streets.

Speaking today, friend Julie Butcher told how the family had suffered during the search.

She told The Sun Online: “It must be horrible for them.

“No one can imagine how he feels. So, I feel very sorry for them.”

Julie, who was planning a post-Christmas game of tennis with her friend, said: “I’m so upset, but I don’t feel that way, it’s because of her family.”
