Gaynor Lord witness ‘who saw missing mum do bizarre yoga pose’ says she ‘seemed calm’ but ‘something was off’

A WITNESS claimed she saw missing mum Gaynor Lord doing yoga on Friday afternoon – but something didn’t seem right.

It has been almost a week since the 55-year-old disappeared after leaving work early.

CCTV footage released yesterday showed her smiling before leaving Bullards Gin – then speeding through the streets of Norwich.

Now potentially one of the last people to see Gaynor has spoken out.

Rosie Richards, who lives near Wensum Park, said she thought she saw her mum doing yoga at around 4pm on Friday afternoon.

She said mum seemed “calm” – but something stood out about her.

Rosie told Good Morning Britain today: “She seemed quite calm to me.

“She would drop her coat on the floor and do a yoga pose.

“It just seemed a little odd at this time of day because it’s getting dark.”

Gaynor was last seen on CCTV at 4.01pm in St Augustines Street – which is an eight-minute walk from the park.

Mystery surrounds a mother’s disappearance after her belongings were found scattered in various locations in a downtown park.

On the day she went missing, her white work shirt and yellow tank top were found spread out – and her olive drab coat was found in the water.

Then, the mom’s cell phone, coat, ring and glasses were found in the park as police continued to search the area.

Police yesterday released CCTV of when she was last seen – and appealed for witnesses to come forward with more information.

They posted a picture of Gaynor smiling from ear to ear as she left her workplace – Bullards Gin, at Jarrold’s department store.

Then the mom is seen running on the pavement with her coat in her hand on the CCTV footage.

She seems to be in a hurry, in a hurry to cross the road.

It comes as…

The mum appears to have spent 30 minutes in the cathedral before being spotted again on CCTV.

He then makes his way down the street, putting on his coat as he walks.

It was last recorded on CCTV at 16.01.

It is now thought that the mum may have met someone at the cathedral before she disappeared.

Police are also reportedly “liaising” with the force that worked on Nicole Bulley’s disappearance.

Officers are now urging anyone to come forward with information.

Norwich Police Commander, Chief Wes Hornigold, said yesterday: “We are releasing the footage of Gaynora’s last known steps on the Friday afternoon before she went missing.

“We hope this will help remember anyone who may have seen her in town that afternoon or who may have footage of her journey.

“We are particularly interested to hear from anyone who may have seen Gaynor at the cathedral where she enters at 2.50pm and leaves at 3.23pm.

“It is not clear where she was going inside the cathedral during that time so we would like to hear from anyone who may have seen her there.

We are particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have seen Gaynor in the cathedral

Norwich Police Chief Wes Hornigold

“We are continuing our extensive search, but would appeal to the public to come forward with any information that may assist in locating Gaynor.

“The video clearly shows what she was wearing when she disappeared.

“This is a particularly stressful time for her family and professionals are continuing to provide support.”

Gaynor was declared missing by Norwich Police after they found her ID in her bag – and learned she had not returned home from work that evening.

Police divers, assisted by fire crews and the coastguard, were seen yesterday searching the nearby River Wensum using sonar equipment to examine the water.

Officers also used drones and foot searches to look for further leads.

It comes after Gaynor’s family made a desperate plea on Tuesday – five days of searching for their mother.

Her daughter Aleksandra posted on Facebook: “Please share, if anyone knows anything please contact the police.”

“We want her home.”
