Geetika Srivastava is a 2005-batch Indian Foreign Service (IFS) officer. In August 2023, she made headlines when she was appointed Charge d’affaires of the Indian High Commission in Pakistan, becoming the first female official to lead an Indian mission in Pakistan.

Geetika Srivastava was born in Uttar Pradesh, India. After completing her education, she attended Shiv Harsh Kisan PG College in Basti, Uttar Pradesh and graduated in 2001, majoring in Mathematics, Economics and Computing. After completing her formal education, Geetika appeared for the UPSC Civil Services Examination and successfully passed it. Thereafter, she reported from Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA), Mussoorie, Uttarakhand. She attended many courses related to foreign service at Sushma Swaraj Institute of Foreign Service.

In August 2007, Geetika Srivastava was sent to China and served as the Third Secretary of the Indian Embassy in Beijing until May 2009. In June 2009, she was appointed Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs; she served until May 2012. In May 2012, she became the deputy passport officer at the Regional Passport Office (RPO), Kolkata. Thereafter, she was posted to New Delhi as Joint Secretary, Ministry of External Affairs. Later, she was appointed Director, Indian Ocean Region (IOR) Division, MEA, New Delhi.
She was subsequently appointed Joint Secretary of the Indo-Pacific Sector of the Multilateral Environmental Agreement. In August 2023, she was selected to succeed Suresh Kumar as Charge d’affaires of the Indian High Commission in Pakistan. According to sources, her appointment comes at a time when relations between India and Pakistan are downgrading over the scrapping of Article 370 on Kashmir.

- Geetika Srivastava is fluent in Mandarin, English and Hindi. Geetika revealed in an interview that she chose to learn Mandarin as part of her foreign language training.
