Hollywood legend Gene Hackman fears that he is dead for nine days before his body was discovered, police revealed.
The winner of Oscar, 95, was found with his wife Betsy Arakawa, 65, on Wednesday at their Santa Fe house, after neighbors noticed their bodies through the window.

But investigators believe that Hackman actually died on February 17th, the last meeting recorded on his Paysmeker – nine days before he was found.
During a press conference on Friday, Sheriff Adan Mendoza said he had brought the finding in the investigation by Dr. Heather Jarrell, a chief medical investigator in Novi Mexico.
Mendoza told reporters: “He conducted the initial examination of Paysmeker Mr. Hackman.
“This revealed that his last event was recorded on February 17, 2025, I advised that a more thorough investigation would end.”

Asked if this was indicated that Hackman had died that day, he replied: “According to the pathologist, I think it is a very good assumption, that it was his last day.”
Mendoza added: “The way and the cause of death have not been determined.
“The official results of reports on autopsy and toxicology are ongoing.”
Neighbors allegedly noticed the bodies of the money through the window before lifting the alarm.
When the officers arrived at their Santa Fe 27 home on February, they found Gene, Betsy and one of their pet dog dogs dead in separate rooms.

The earlier statement of the authorities confirmed that there was no “external trauma” on any body, and a police statement ruled that their death was “suspicious” enough to require further investigation.
Despite the guess from Hackman’s daughter Elizabeth Jean about carbony monoxide poisoning, Sheriff Mendoza confirmed that Hackman and Arakawa had tested negatively on the deadly gas.
The search warrant has previously excluded the gas leak, leaving the cause of death to mystery.
The children of the actor said they would travel to Santa Fe after the authorities announced further details.
Hackman, one of the most famous Hollywood stars, has won two awards of the France’s Association Academy and Unedo.
He also starred in conversation, Superman and Royal Tenenbaums before he stepped out of attention in the early 2000s.
Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances of his death.
Objects seized
Police also seized six key items from Gene Hackman as they examine the mysterious deaths of Hollywood icons and his wife.
Investigators, in the amount of $ 3.8 million, took out different drugs, documents and phones in which the couple was discovered dead on Wednesday afternoon.
According to the court records obtained by the KOAT-TV ABC branch, officials took two green cell phones, health documents and monthly planner 2025 from residence.
Authorities also collected thyroid medicines, Diltiazem and Tylenol as part of their investigation.
Diltiazem is usually prescribed for high blood pressure and chest pain.
The search order revealed that an open bottle of tablet was found on a counter in the bathroom near the Arakawa body.

A devastating scene
Officers found Arakawa’s body lying in the bathroom after entering the house on Wednesday afternoon.
She seemed to be there for weeks because her hands and feet had signs of mummification, according to a search order.
The dog was found dead in the bathroom cabinet.
Officers then found a hackman lying in the mud with a reed and sunglasses near the body.
The search warrant has discovered that police officers noticed that the legendary actor looks like he suddenly fell to the ground.
Hackman and Arakawa causes of death have not been discovered.
The winner of Oscar and his wife, a classic pianist, lived in the last year in a massive castle they built in Santa Fe.
The couple, who were married in 1991, never had children.
