General Hospital’s Eden McCoy Returns to the Series After Her Mom’s Death

Eden McCoy returns to General Hospital.

The actress, who plays Josslyn Jacks, returns to screens on Thursday, February 1, according to TVLine. McCoy, 20, temporarily stepped down from the role in mid-December after her mother died of cancer.

In her absence, Courtney Fulk took over as Jacks.

In November, McCoy announced that her mother had died of the disease. “My mother fought an intense battle with cancer for the last 2 and a half years and now she has physically left us. I’m not sure what to say other than she was, is and will be the best thing I’ve ever met,” McCoy wrote in an emotional tribute on Instagram.

“Losing my mother has always been my biggest fear, as I’m sure many of you feel the same, and we as humans have a habit of thinking that it will never happen to us,” she continued. “Unfortunately, it can, and sometimes it does. I would do anything and everything for one more minute with her. But not only was I lucky to know my mother, we couldn’t have been closer.”

At the time of her departure, neither did McCoy General Hospital he revealed the reason for McCoy’s vacation.

In a since-deleted holiday post on X (formerly Twitter), she she told her fans, “I think I’m going to take some time off from Twitter, but first I have to say thank you for any support over the past few weeks. It’s been a strange year, but I still feel very lucky. I wish everyone reading this love and health.”

In December, McCoy won a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Younger Performer in a Drama Series and shared an Instagram post to mark the moment.

“Words cannot describe the gratitude I feel…I just want to say thank you for the best 8 years of mine General Hospital family….thank you for allowing me to be a tiny CHICKEN of your amazing legacy. For you mom!!!” she captioned the photo of her holding the award.
